If our stock falls below $40, everybody better start looking for a new job.

I'm more concerned about the dividend payout ratio at the moment

Who cares about a 6% dividend if the stock goes down another 10%. You must be kidding me?

This is a reflection on the board and stockholders NOT wanting to keep Andrew on board. They don't like his vision, and of course his track record is the worst. A chimp could run this company better

The payout ratio has been hovering around 100% of earnings lately. It has historically been a better indicator of the health of a company than the market price of a stock. Further, a cut in the dividend or a suspended dividend could cause those mutual fund managers whose charters mandate they hold dividend stocks, to be forced to sell, leading to the drop in share price you are worried about.

    $42

Another 2 point drop and watch out for another major layoff.

This all started because of the patient first program. No one was selling product, but instead taking precious time out of territory to study for tests and simulations. Thus products didn't sell and after 3 years it snowballed into a 15 point drop in the stock price. We lost tons of great talent and the ones that stayed became champions of cheating. Upper management blew it, Senior management blew it, front line management blew it. Thus, you now see the result. All of you should be ashamed of yourself!

GSK should have been looking to improve its acquisitions and pipeline years ago knowing that nothing could replace the big money of Advair.

Total BS, You stopped selling because you are lazy and you took the easy way out , you felt like you had a good excuse. A good salesperson doesn't start or stop selling because someone tells them to. Lots of reps did exactly what they'd been doing for years- sell in your own style 99% of the time and then play the game when worthless DM was with you. No matter which way it went you would've been complaining. Wahh my bonus is only $76 because I've only generated 15 Breo scripts. It was a sinking ship long before Deidre changed the course and I bet most liked the study days, I knew of people taking 5 days at home preparing (didn't hear them complaining).

Plain and simple .. company got drunk on ADVAIR Kool-Aid and lost touch with reality a LONG time ago.

DC is that you? PF killed the spirit of this company. I will agree that some reps got lazy but let's examine why.

    1. The sales force took tests and were NEVER told what questions we got wrong and we were ranked based on this.

    2. The sales force participated in simulations with Rahib or Abdul playing the doctor. We were counting on the broken english speaking person on the other end to accurately translate what we were saying when they can't even speak English fluently. Once again we were ranked based on this.

    3. Everyone cheated on tests. The exact same answers were being passed around and used yet GSK found a way to rank rep A differently than rep B when they answered the questions
    EXACTLY THE SAME WAY.

    4. I found it "funny" that the tests and simulations were "factored" into the larger ($7,500) payout instead of the smaller ($3,000) payout. Of course it meant the comapny could tank the larger payout to the reps and save $$$$.

    5. Hmmmmmm, skin color and/or gender bias with regard to point 3?

    6. I'm no Einstein however, I have been in the respiratory market for YEARS and I have been very successful. According a few of my scorecards my scientific knowledge was that of an Amoeba.

    7. I/ we have watched EXTREMELY qualified in house individuals get passed up for management positions only to have an outside candidate get the job. Many of the outside candidates had ZERO management experience and some had no pharma experience.

    8. DC, Jorge were the worst executives I have ever seen. They wanted to create a socialistic and liberal environment and they succeeded. How you ask? The less motivated reps depended on the hard working reps to carry them. Just like the bottom feeding welfare recipients depend on the working taxpayers to carry them. I am specifically talking about those that are able to work but choose not to because they are lazy.

So how long do you expect a sales force to get kicked in the crotch before they start to throw their hands up and realize that no matter what they do the end result will be the same?

Amazing. We get approval for our new asthma drug and our stock will be down today.

Please somebody just buy us and put us out of our misery.

As much as I agree with you, what is it that someone would be buying at this point?

We will be sold and split up. The sum of our parts are greater than the whole. If not bought by the time Advair goes generic, GSK will be a $30 stock.
