Pfizer Oncology is adding about 15-20 OAS positions to sell palbociclib. Each new rep will have a custom territory within the District calling on key breast cancer targets. Job postings to be up next week.
Come join the fastest growing oncology company right now--great products and good people--including the managers! (no I am not one--just have not met a really bad one yet in oncology).
If you are reading this from another company, and you have any significant breast cancer experience and have key relationships in a territory--definitely a leg up in the interviewing process.

This is Pfizer, how good could it be?
Let's be clear....not a Pfizer discovery. Came from Pharmacia.

Any thoughts on these positions? I know they are large territories.

It is a Pfizer discovery but what does it matter anyway? Another bullshit whiner who can't handle reality and move forward, ever.

The territories are large but so what? A large oncology territory promoting a hot new drug is better than any size territory promoting any primary care product.

The only problem with Pfizer is that the pay and bonuses are benchmarked against other big Pharma companies and nothing like biotech oncology companies. This means that your peers promoting even lesser products will make more money and drive better cars and deal with much less bureaucracy. Not that they don't have their own issues like being bought out by a big Pharma company.

So, if you like what you're hearing, go for it.

What are the thoughts on longevity of this position?

Seriously why do you ask these questions anonymously on a public forum? Un qualified to ask directly? No network? No peers? Makes little sense to any of us. Those of us qualified to know, have far more reliable networks. Sorry. These posts are suspicious. Public information is out there. Anonymous posters looking for information beyond that, most likely are not credible.

Actually it is a Parke-Davis drug (discovered in 1995)) that was sold to Onyx
