ACS "launch" meeting?
We don't get an indication for ACS but they are still gonna have us meet in Orlando for the "launch" meeting? WTF? Why would they take the CV and Hospital teams out of the field for three days for this? Then if we do get the indication later we will be doing it all over again. Oh yeah, don't forget to travel to Orlando on Sunday the 8th (the weekend after the 4th of July) to be ready to go at 8am Monday. Way to go Dominic!

And keep moving forward with training too. Keep studying and taking tests, do your mid- years, get your call plan done, show me your routing, show me an action plan with your retail team, meet with your hospital reps and tell us how you will work with them, AND KEEP YOUR PRODUCTIVITY HIGH. And, I'm sure there will be homework to do for the meeting. This job is ridiculous

You must be new. Probably from a normal pharmaceutical background. The above description is completely normal at J & J.

Why is the CV group so whiny? In my area they talk the most, brag the most, bitch the most and have delivered the least. STFU until you deliver results instead of business plans.

Wait til OPDP hears that your still going to be conducting this meeting despite the lack of approval. How will we justify haing this meeting, all he raining, pre study, action planning, etc and spend, and not have the indication. We are already under a load of scrutiny, staring down the barrel of a $2 bb settlement with the DOJ and we're going to do this? Wouldn't it be better to just take the $$$$ hit, swallow our loss, and move on vs taking the risk?

For how much they pay us, this job is ridiculous. Ridiculously easy. They pay us to meet with customers, build relationships, and yeah, some B.S. along the way. You must not have ever had a job before pharma where you had to actually work for money. i.e. 8-5 with your punch in punch out lunch break and horribly pathetic hourly co-workers (think office space) and no quarterly bonus equal to what many Americans make in an ENTIRE YEAR! This gig is cake, while it lasts. You are bitching about HOMEWORK? Get real. See you in Orlando!

Going to Florida despite the FDA CRL is a drain of time & money. As a shareholders, I am disappointed by this decision.

Funny. Our CV team has fewer prescriptions than we do, we've mapped out all their satellite clinics to make it easier for them to see their CDs and they do nothing except diplay a shitty attitude, similar to yours. I don't need your CV job.

Re: ACS "launch" meeting?
Document everything children. A meeting about an indication that wasn't approved. Brilliant. Charles Charles would be proud. How can anyone with an ounce of intergrity do this job. It's a paycheck that is so out of whack with the amount of work required. No one will say anything because we're all in the same boat. We talk amongst each other over drinks how silly this job is. At least you can work out during working hours. Right,Xport Gym members in Chicago? Wells and North Ave in Chicago is like a mini pharma company.

YES YES YES
That's always both hilarious and very very painful to watch.!!!!
It brings out lots of the "true believers"....the Kool-Aide is everywhere, ...the "watchers" as well !!!!
So don't smirk and grouse.
Sort of like the pageant of a DRK Great Leader birthday party.

Re: ACS "launch" meeting?
Yes! The Credo! Pull you away from the "Family" on Sunday ending the biggest national holiday of the summer! Love it! & oh by the way, we couldn't justify a Monday travel for Tuesday Wednesday Meeting so we cut the Wednesday and believe in the balance of making you instead travel on Sunday when other options existed. Thank you CREDO!
Ahhh, the farce of "family" and "work-life". Thanks Dominic! Jackazz.

You'll be pumped up after the meeting and then when you make your first call and no one wants to talk to you, you'll get in your car,go to Starbucks and realize what you do for a living is embarrassing.

What's embarrassing about a job that's easy & gives me so much freedom? (this meeting is only 1.5 days & I'm in Florida)

Re: ACS "launch" meeting?
Someday when you're a bit older or have been doing this for awhile you'll realize a person with an IQ of 10 could do this job. It's a huge scam just like most businesses. We only hire the best and brightest . Yet when you get the job you realize anyone could do this. Not just this company but all of pharma and health care. Doing a report based on data that's 2 or 3 months old is not relevant.

The job, just as anything else you do, becomes easier over time. However, after 10+ years experience in the industry I will tell you that NO, this is not a job that anyone can do.
