I agree with "nope" and "yep" above. "yep" they'll happen but "nope" in 2014.

    Sunday night drinking huh?
You clearly are a few sheets to the wind to post that nothing is happening in 2014.

Fact is open positions are not being filled outside the company. Pfizer is activitly asking cluster one reps if they would like to fill cluster 2, 3 or 4 positions when opened. (I have seen this happen twice in my district). The product teams have not said what their head count needs to be for next year yet. Remember they took Lipitor away from the field sales force 6 months before end of life and gave it to contract sales force along with the $4 Lipitor copay cards. If they did that with Lipitor and had success they may do the same with Celebrex. No one below RM know our fate yet this year.

If they did that with Celebrex it would have already been done since Celebrex has 4 months left. Hate to be picky…but just saying.

My guess is the C1 folks in my opinion will get a higher weighting on Viagra as their #2 product behind Lyrica while leaving vacancies open. And the rest of us will remain unchanged. Guess we'll find out in a 3-4 months.

We find out about 1 hour before the Reps. Leaks are very well contained these days.

I don't think that is correct, we have an open DSR slot in our Cluster 3 District and DBM tried to fill twice with internal postings, nobody bit, he asked HR to fill with outside canditate and was denied and a PHR from cluster 1 then said she wanted it and HR denied that request as well.
I believe "ALL" positions are frozen until this re-org is complete.

So not true!!!!! A cluster 1 Rep applied for a position in Women's health and the manger would not hire him. The manager instead went outside the company and hire someone else for the position. He had absolutely no loyalty to his own people within the company, even though he knew what they were facing. Let's just hope this manager gets his because no one deserves it more. What a jerk!!!

Ok, we are speaking about several different divisions. Vaccines, Oncology, Women,s Health all had spots that are/were filled with Cluster 1 folks & outside ppl. I am purely speaking about vacancies in Cluster 1 & 3 that are not being filled. That is FACT!!!

We need to free up cash for a higher bid for AZ now! might we reduce headcount by 20% across cluster 1 and 2 to make room for our new bid.

Good luck to everyone. There is life outside of Pfizer. If you make it through this round get ready for the next 2 years from now! Just a career of dodging bullets!

Pfizer should be getting rid of 50% of upper management as they have no clue as to what is going on. With that cut Pfizer would save MILLIONS and let the field reps do there job.No one out there is worth 24-15-9-7-6 Million a year.
