I agree, last time the severance changed from 3 weeks too 2 weeks there were layoffs shortly there after. I agree with above post, "This is Pfizer" and you should always be prepared.

your really need to get a brain of your own...Obama has been in charge now for 5 years, the poor have gotten poorer despite the fact that the Dems have managed to get nearly 50% of this country on some form of gov't assistance...The issue is not the rich my walking lib talking point friend, the issue is too many people in this country feel they are entitled to a good living without working for it...too many people make poor financial and educational choices and rather than take accountability for it, they blame it on those that made wiser choices...so your solution to that is punish those who are willing to work for it.

 

So, I guess I cannot even figure out where the layoffs would be this first quarter. It seems as though every division is at the right size and hiring in all areas of sales.

Asking if there will be layoffs is like asking if the sun will come out tomorrow. At some point it will happen. It happened every year (or every other year) for the last 5/6 years. This industry is not expanding my friend. Almost every company has/is going through it-not only Pfizer.

 

When we do get laid off I'm sure the Republicans will take care of us as we transition to new careers.

After all, it was the Republicans who brought us the weekend, child labor laws, overtime pay, minimum wage protections, workmen's comp, pension security, sick leave, child labor laws, safer working condition, and 401k protections.

Rush will take care of us.

 

Since it was the Democrats who ENSLAVED peoples in the US and the Repubs freed them, I can see how the Democrats came up with all of those unconstitutional, governmental power abuses that quasi-enslave Americans today.

Yes, there will be layoffs, until the Democrats RULE that nobody can lose their jobs, like it is in Europe.
