Though a U.S. federal judge reaffirmed Pfizer’s “method-of-use” patent, blocking Teva Pharmaceuticals (TEVA) and others from launching their own generic versions until October 2019, the competitive landscape elsewhere is more hostile. Through September 2013, Pfizer reported that U.S. sales of Viagra held steady at $819 million; international revenue declined 13% to $586 million, however, as the Israeli-based drug maker, U.S.-based generic manufacturers Actavis (ACT) and Mylan (MYL), and other generic houses started to roll-out cheaper copies of sildenafil back in July. - See more at: http://ycharts.com/analysis/story/why_pfizers_expiring_viagra_patent_hurts_lilly_most#sthash.nyTPIqXu.dpuf
Yup, Cialis is kicking our ass! They did the research, they got the once a day indication, they out market us & their samples are falling off the shelf and we leave 2-3 packs. We have been losing share for 3 yrs now and the Asset team can't figure out why? Our instructions are to "Make every call count" Please! We deserve to get our ass kicked when this is all we got . . . .
YEP! Squeezing profits by frosting customers cant be a winning strategy. Unless youre tone deaf or pfizer. Oh yeah, lets not forget our own generic version of the med, used for ED and Pulmonary Htn.
We don't have the staying power to match the daily dosing. All the research in the world would still leave us flaccid.
When the public discovers my new penis pump you guys will never sale another Viagra RX! Maybe some of you would like to sale for me. I pay 100 per unit sold. I will be expanding big time here soon.
WOW! So how much are Viagra reps makin these days??! One of my neighbors is a Viagra rep and she must be doing well. Single mom, drives a beemer truck for personal use, wears latest fashion and her daughter goes to the same private school my kid does..This school ain't cheap and I'm in specialty!
Hey everyone, Can anyone tell me the base, commission and/or bonus, stocks in this division? Had an interview and weighing out if I should even go to the 2nd interview. I'm making mid 90's now in a much smaller pharma company, specialty division but no pipeline. I was told over 100k at interview, but based on my readings from previous posts, this division doesn't rake in anywhere near 100k. I have 3 yrs pharma exp. Thanks for all serious answers.
Do yourself a favor and stay away. 5-10 grand a year more is not worth it. You will be miserable in 6 months (maybe sooner). Can't get more serious than that!
