I know it was bad a few years ago, but will Pfizer be in Groton much longer? There's a scientist job there that fits my interests perfectly, but I'm hesitating to apply because my sig. other has a faculty job in CT, and we couldn't pick up and move easily (and we have kids). Thoughts?

Too risky. Pfizer lays off people all the time and is constantly closing down sites.

Get rid of Groton. Its open floor plan and bright lights make it feel like a floating casino in the old Love Boat series. And watching guys like Romano and Clucas use a telephone booth for telecoms and card tables for offices makes the place look amateurish. Then again, maybe appearance reflects reality. The place sucks!

If you like icy cold weather, snow, floods and power shortages this is the place to be!
