I don't know what is going on, I just started a new Thread to find more information, I am a new rep who came on board this year. I have had several med oncs and urologists telling me that Dendreon has been holding crucial information regarding Provenge, and the Dendreon leadership had not communicated all they knew therefore are writing to CMS in order to start new investigation and revocation of reimbursement. My DM and his RD are useless and are not telling me, more reason to believe my customers are correct.

Does anyone know more about this? What did we hold from Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS)? Is this a case of Medicare Fraud? Anyone has more experience, greatly appreciate this.

Yup, I heard it too. I guess had something to do with Dendreon lieing to CMS during questioning by CMS panel members. I am not sure which idiot from Dendreon was answering or presenting but if he still works here he needs a good lawyer. Medicare fraud is serious but again this would be one of the crimes committed by ahold and his senior management.

    no.

2012 will be a year of reckoning. the retail trader who lost money on this and the employee who had his/her career sidetracked by all the lies is going to win in 2012. the greedy white collar criminals at dendreon are going away.

There were many employees that had their careers sidetracked. Of those employees, some left secure companies as they were enticed by friends in upper management with promises of bonuses, stock options and a large severance package. Other employees (those with children to support) were contacted by employees in the field to come on board as there was a demand for their expertise in a growing company.
The employees weren't looking for millions to pocket, they were filled with hope and optimism to work in a career in the field of cancer research and treatment. At one meeting this was stated when the question "why are we here boys" was poised. One of the employees replied "to find a cure for cancer", his response was met with laughter. After the meeting, management laughed at his gullibility and retold the story among cronies.
The employees that were side tracked were regular people earning a living wage, supporting their families, and saving for retirement. As for the white collar criminals it is the usual story of greed and lust of money and power and viewing employees as objects on a chess board. Some would call this corporate America and others view it as psychopathy.
The courts may call it something else-illegal and criminal.
Whatever your values or view, let's hope this time justice is served.

I wrote post number 6 and I appreciate your candor. I was a shareholder. As far as I know, federal investigations are going on as we speak. I strongly believe all of the victims of these crimes will have reason to rejoice in 2012. I trust the system and the stock fraud and human resources fraud and other frauds are so egregious and so blatant that there is no way that justice will not be served in short order some time in 2012.

So, 'Patients First' was an empty platitude then.

DNDN is unbelievable. It's just one atrocity after another. I'm so glad I'm out of the sh*thole. Whenever I'm having a bad day I just have to look at this board and realize things could be much worse

Group of physicians have done independent blood testing of individuals who have final stage Prostate Cancer, looking at specific markers, some of these patients have been and are followed, they have noticed that Provenge maybe effective in portion of patients with specific blood markers. I don't know which, I am just a sales guy who knows a little bit of science.
But mot interesting part is that according to these physicians, Dendreon had already done this in previous trials and knew that Provenge may only be effective in small portion of Prostate Cancer patients with those specific marker. Dendreon had not disclosed such information to CMS or any other agency. According to the Physicians, my customers, Dendreon lied during the direct and specific questioning during the CMS hearing. I don't know, I was not here last year but I have seen some of the transcript and I am sure my customers do not lie.
If this is true,I am not a lawyer but it may means Medicare Fraud. God help us all.

Thanks for this. I've heard pretty much the identical story from several sources now but was never able to find the origin (understandeable if this involves fraud. It would have been covered up at the source). I believe there was a meeting a couple months back in Houston which included various people involved in the medical and/or science aspect of Provenge were present. According to the author 'heavy sh*t went down' and various 'underlings' or people involved in sales were escorted out of the meeting which didn't resume until all were removed. People have been trying to get more information about this for a couple months. That's when the information you posted started appearing. It's all pretty tenuous, but it's pervasive and consistent. Make of it what you will.

either way, federal securities laws were broken. that is definite. this company is done. there will be federal charges and then the class actions are for people who lost over 5 billion of wealth. the whole market cap right now is just over a billion. dendreon is done.

Shame on Cafe Pharma to remove messages. Last I saw a message reply stating the info about VP of communication being arrested on last August. So that must be the fact.

To reply 18. No one does care about false prediction. They announced inflated sales number for quarter 4 of 2011. They are reporting 20 million dollars more than what they actually made. They are feeding lies to all of you again and SEC does not care.
No one can touch them. They will inflate share prices by lies and then dump their shares and story and cries will start again.
