Do not trust OEC. I had false accusations of Marijuana Drug abuse. I was not told who my accusers were but I said from the outgo that I would agree to a Polygraph (lie detector) and also a FULL drug abuse test (much cheaper). I did it that day and passed. NO apology from Management. From that point on I work my hours and leave the job at work. I could care less about Abbott. I just want to get to my Retirement (5 years).

A company may be able to force a drug test but it is against federal law to require a polygraph. In fact if they do a drug test and find something they don't like, it must be repeated before you can be disciplined. Polygraphs are not all that accurate that's why they are not allowed.

If Abbott forced you to take a polygraph test you have a good legal case against them.

Check out the "Above the Law" post and decide how much the OEC is on your side.
