They still have to get rid of the rest of Zimmer's bullshit dead weight losers and then it will close. Hope you don't own a house in Warsaw!!

You clearly don't work for Zimmer. Close date is March 31st and
New company is April 1st. That's official

Will yet another soon-to-be Biomet illegality postpone the deal? Wait and see

More than likely we are looking at the EU holding the deal back. Can Zimmer still close to deal in the US but not in Europe? Is that even possible?

They have already agreed to terms with the EU and are just waiting for final approval.

    Really
All of the press releases state they will close BY the end of the 1st Qtr. Nothing about March 31st.

For what it is worth, Biomet's FY Q1 starts June 1 - whereas that is the beginning of Q3 for everyone else in town.

Ok dipshits..the higher ups expect fully that this deal will close by March 31st wanna know why I know this? Simple..Biomet's General liability insurance that all of us who work there had to submit to reptrax and so on is only good till March 31st...so it does not take a rocket scientist to figure out that they fully expect the deal to be done by that date! Now it could change but...why would they do that? Morons!!

Who you calling dipshits? Why don't you feed your fat wife another piece of pizza in bed as you you wipe the BBQ sauce off your face.

Dipshits are the employees that haven't read the news releases to know that the new company will operate under Zimmer's fiscal year...which is the calendar year....So, DIPSHITS...the end of Q1 is March 31st, 2015.!!!

By the end of the 1st Qtr actually means anytime between now and the 31st March.

Sometimes I wonder about the rude losers on this site.

BRUSSELS, Feb 10 (Reuters) - European Union antitrust regulators will decide by May 26 whether to approve U.S. medical device maker Zimmer's $13.4 billion bid for rival Biomet after Zimmer modified concessions to allay competition concerns.

The European Commission set the new deadline after a two-month pause in its scrutiny of a deal that would make Zimmer the world's second-largest seller of orthopaedic products behind Johnson & Johnson.

Zimmer said it still hopes to gain regulatory approval in the first quarter of this year.

It did not provide details of its revised concessions but said they were generally consistent with the initial package.

Biomet is based in the United States but has a focus on orthopaedics from its European headquarters in Dordrecht, Netherlands.
