Crap? You may want to listen more to what the Dear Leader talks about when he is relaxed and talking amongst his loyal followers, sans teleprompter.

You're confusing the purpose of this site. Kindly stop the political CRAP. Do it elsewhere. My dear leadership isn't going go do anything about the pension until after they have laid off all the bright people and keep dumb dumbs to be their slaves.

The topic is pensions, and drifted to 401K's. However posts making socialistic comments about pensions, which is the thread's subject after all, and redistribution, is OK with you? That's non-political because its aligned with your way of thinking? Then 401k's comes into the discussion, as alternatives to pensions, and someone comments that the president and some in congress have actually made public statements, reported in the media, about federal control of 401k's, to include limits and thresholds for redistribution, and that's political?

So I guess anyone that disagrees with the idea of elimination of pensions, and who would oppose government control of 401k's, is making a political statement? Perhaps they are racists too?

One thing is for sure, they don't enjoy pancakes. Very sad indeed.

Too busy selling for the pension and 401k to enjoy pancakes! Wait, is that socialist of me?

Only if you think you should be able to buy all the pancakes you can afford, but the Feds should be able to tell you how many you can actually eat, and then take rest of the pancakes you bought and give them to someone else who would rather not work and have money yo buy their own pancakes.

Or as Nancy and Barry recently said: in the new world order, you can be liberated from having to work full time, and let the Feds pay for your healthcare and pancakes.

I think I'll quit Abbott, and become a part time poet\school crossing guard. That's OK, right? I mean, you don't mind sweating it out working 60 hours a week, and giving your "excess money" to me?

Would you please quit already? Stop talking nonsense. If you enjoy having a pension or a 401k then you believe in a society that SHARES. If you don't like it please quit. I hate to think I'm working 60 hour weeks so you can enjoy a descent pension and a productive 401k. So yes, please quit. By your definition of distributing wealth you just described corporate America. I
    Now where is that pAncake?

Poster above is right. You are a socialist on the Abbott dole so quit your blathering bs about how hard you sweat 60 hours a week. We all know, from CP, the reps spend 1.5 hours a day in the field and the rest of the time snarfing down pancakes, olive garden, or the party snacks at the NSMs. You are probably much lazier than the school crossing guard down your street but the packaging of your dole deal is just done better. Stop trying to rationalize what you believe you deserve. Flip me a frikkin' flapjack and stop flapping your jaws.

I am lazy! I'm not hiding that! It's just that I was not born with a trust fund. That's why I like Obamacare, and where this is going. The only thing that concerns me is if too many of you start to get the same idea. And no, it's not what you're thinking: I'm not afraid of the competition on poems. I'm picking poetry as my new profession precisely because I can't write poetry. Poetry so perfect because you can write gibberish, call it art, and no one will know the difference! And I don't need to sell any of it ... in fact, i don't want to sell any poems, because that will only cut down what I get for free anyway. Why bother?

No, to make this work, I need as many of you to keep working so I can live off all of you. So get out there, build those pensions, and pack those 401k's .... because mama wants a new car!

I need the booze more. I'm a union worker, so my job is brain-numbing boring. Practically nothing to do all day. Getting a buzz helps pass the time. Sometimes I lose count and get drunk, vomited on some suit's shoes once. But with the union, I can't get fired, and management is too afraid to even ask if I'm high or drunk.

Don't touch my money or my pancakes they both are important to me. Especially my pension. I didn't work 35 years at Abbott for nothing. My pension allows me to live the life style that I'm accustomed to living. Including Florida winters.

Yes but we are outsourcing the pensions to India to pay for the management bonuses this year. But do not worry sometimes I lose count and get drunk and vomit on someone's shoes.
