Can we end this post? The sales force doesn't care. Zimmer seems to plug in great people to fill the holes. I wish Zimmer would stop coming up with new stuff to sell...we have plenty of products to sell.

You, my friend do not have a clue what you are talking about! Most of these 'holes' were not and are not being backfilled at all. Just more work for those that are left.

    Re: Jeff McCauley???

Jeff McCauley just took over at Smiths Medical as president, what can we expect? The culture of the company is at an all time low....

is Mervin Smith still there? Worked in his area a year ago. He tried to make himself out like he was tough. The assistance always smiled when he talked to them but talked crap about him when he walked away.

Jason Detweiler (sp?) from knee development leaving for another company across town. Loss of another good engineer. He will be missed. He will also not be replaced and the spiral will continue.

He will change all that. Probably take it even lower.

The use of 'just sayin' is incredibly pathetic, unless of course you happen to twelve years old?

Speaking of pathetic, how about this thread??? Let's use an anonymous internet forum to bitch and moan about how we're all victims of the employer we choose to work for. Blaming other people and and your own failure to realize any personal responsibility might be the reason your current situation seems sub-optimal. Enough with this pity party already. You self-indulgent, ungrateful schmucks are just as bad as any other troll on this forum.

Can we stick a fork in this thread? It's a doom and gloom title and the stock keeps going up.

Lets pretend McDonald's throttled supply to it's franchisees, then told them to allocate amongst themselves the remainder......their stock ratios would look great for a while, until their customers felt the effects of it.

The stock price has zero to do with the long-term health of this company, or any company for that matter.

The real victim, and the one to be 'pitied' here is the patient. The constant (and recent) barrage of emails requesting stems, femorals, tibias etc for cases within 24 hours is most discouraging. No rep should ever go into a case without a full complement and this is going on right now. A lot.

At the other end of that is a lot of stress on those of us who care for the outcome of that patient (especially ssc) and not the exercising of our stock options at the end if the year. This is not normal, it is not right, and should not be accepted.

Truly the self-indulgence is those who are profiting handsomely as a result of these grievous injuries they have inflicted on the greatest orthopedic company in the world. Watching VERY talented and legacy colleagues leave en masse has been hard for this tenured 'schmuck' to watch as it didn't ever have to happen.

Why the repeated efforts to close this 'pathetic' forum. Truth hurts? This is the largest and most read forum in the Zimmer section so it must be resonating. Talented and dedicated people are and leaving in large numbers to the point that it is not 'normal' or reflective of a healthy culture. Maybe it will do some good for people to see these posts.
