With all this talk of the great talent that's left Zimmer this year, it begs two questions: 1. Who's departure was the biggest loss? 2. Who are the strongest people still left? Look forward to everyone's input.
If you read or listen to the Q3 earnings can you can read a little more between the lines in regards to "reorganization". Nearly halfway there and more to come. Enjoy the ride.
Correct. The "operational excellence" (you just can't make this up) program is only half way there with another $200 million to go by 2016. By the time it's over, [Executive X] will have the entirety of Bldg. 3 and 5 to himself so he can roam the halls like Jack Torrance at the Stanley Hotel.
Right you are. Soon there will be no more flock to tend to, and the only pool to rebuild from will be the young naiive folks who are native to the surrounding area and actually grew up with that 2-month long "lake culture" that they like to tout to bring people in from major industry cities. Anyone with experience in the industry will know better.
Paulsen was the best leader to join Zimmer in the last 5 years, but the CEO was very intimidated by him and took him out.
Monaghan and Quick are very good, but they get jerked around a lot by the senior managers -- that's why changes need to be made at the top -- because even really good people can't do their jobs right now at Zimmer.
Monaghan and Quick are good. Wholeheartedly agree with this previous post. Changes at the top need to be made for good leaders to effectively do their jobs.
