What happens when the extended version of the extension to use Neptune runs out for select hospitals on July 28th?

No big deal. Zimmer is having a hard enough time selling now, wait until everything is cleared with the FDA. Wonder if some of these guys could sell water in the desert.

Real tough time.....we closed 62 machines in our distributorship in the last three weeks.

Care for a cup of cold water?

I can't wait until you actually have to sell against another product and can't use fear and time as a sales tactic.

    Your day will come

Neptunes are dead. Dornoch is going to take over the market.

How many power deals did you "close"? Easy to take orders when the only direct competitor is in a class 1 recall. Wait and see.

Oh my, the irony! A Stryker surgical rep saying they "can't wait until you actually have to sell against another product". Kind of like when you sold those neptunes in the first place against.........

Or how about when you sold that power equipment against.........

If anyone's day will come, it is yours. Stryker Surgical reps have no idea what it is actually like to compete for business. Eventually someone in Kalamazoo will realize that any idiot can take orders and those paychecks will start to shrink. They truly are the definition of order takers, yet are so ignorant and arrogant as to make comments like the one above. Too funny.

Read the second sentence. Having a dominant product and having reps use fear and scare tactics against a recall are two completely different things. Your ethics are truly showing. As for the rest of your ridiculous comment, 10 years ago you may have been right but since 2007 this hasn't been the case.

Is Neptune going to be the next Legal issue for Stryker with the DOJ and FDA? These things suck the cash out of the sales reps pocket, and from new products.

I'm hearing we aren't even getting approval on Neptune 2. It's going to be a whole new product. Sounds like another disaster!!

Heard Zimmer laid off a bunch of guys that know the Dornoch product. Looks like the door is shutting quickly for them in this arena. Can't wait to come back to the market and make a bunch of dough.

Dont need all those people to sell Dornoch. Not really a tough sale.

Rep: "hey hospital, this Dornoch machine is approved by the FDA and the neptune isnt"

Hospital: "oh really, the stryker rep has been telling me for 10 months that they are expecting approval soon"

    Rep: "that sounds about right"

Hospital: "here is a PO for $300K"

Rep: "Pleasure doing business with you"

Seems pretty easy. You guys must have about 90% of the business by now.

What will Neptune really cost after the DOJ gets done with Stryker? Tens of Millions that could go to R&D or to better commissions, are being spent on DOJ costs. How much does Stryker spend each year on remedy and fines instead of in the right places. What happened to "do it right the first time". Just because other companies do the wrong thing, does that justify wasting Millions every year? Two wrongs do not equal right.

Stryker is a 24 billion dollar company with thousands of products. There will be some misses but for the most part they have a good track record and do things right the first time. Percentage wise they have many less recalls than companies that are much smaller.
