Major Re-org

    Heard through the grapevine some major re-orgs are being planned behind the scenes and will be rolled out soon. Anyone has any realistic scoop on what is being planned and what we can expect?

    Yep

    1. The whole organisation will be thrown in to disarray
    2. Everyone will have to apply for their own roles
    3. Management will impress upon everyone that we need to carry on delivering despite the changes and uncertainty
    4. Some ass will wheel out the change curve and try to explain what it means
    5. The new organisation will take effect after 9 months and pissing everyone off
    6. Management will then go away and try to decide what the operating model is
    7. After taking 9 months to decide on the operating model and failed but for everyone to have actually settled in and worked out how to operate THE NEXT REORG WILL BE ANNOUNCED

    No idea what the re-org will look like, but if you have taken a notice of the preliminary movements, the biggest kiss-ups are being re-positioned in safer positions faster than the eyes can blink and before the shit hits the fan... the Cream of the crop will be lost, but the ass kissing shitholes will survive, always.

    If you are in a high position and are totally incompetent or insecure then you put ass kissers below you. They are also incompetent and will not blow your cover because their job depends on you. And thus the AZ cluster fuck continues one cycle after another.

    They will get rid of anyone they perceive as a threat. If you are seen as smarter, have better leadership skills and the enough self confidence to challenge or question them then you are a target for removal. What remains are ass kissing, do nothings who depend on clever one liners in meetings and can bobble their heads in agreement at the right time. AZ is full of these bozos.

    THey get rid of Big Al as CBD and give his DSM team to another CBD. No replacement. Ren leaves her CBD role and they give her DSMs to an existing one. They know they have to do the same thing in CVSpec as each RSD averages 4 DSMs. Only one has 7.

    Span of control issues will mean you go bye no backfill. For the next two years as we evolve to 3 SPec Care teams and 1 PC pull through sales force of HSS reps. ONly the best survive. THe culling of the herd began at EBD and now in CBD mode. DSMs on the way. Bye now everyone. EIther the Pfizer way or the evolution to Spec Care you are gone.

    Where did Big Al go? Did he assume a promotional opportunity within AZ? Rumor is he handed over control of a district (DSM role) to one of his biggest ass kissing rep from a another district without posting the vacancy? Is that true? Nothing would surprise me at AZ.

    Heard about reorg poss.sometime this Fall- wait, it is fall, or close. Diabetes probably only safe haven, esp after extending ds4,and summit contracts a couple more years. OR does that mean keep contract, let go of others? Hmmm..... Lightbulb.

    They didn't get rid of Al he joined his old pal TV. I didn't hear about any DSM position being open in his region. Who left?

    No layoffs. AZ is the last big pharma that thinks they need MORE reps, not less! They are hiring like crazy to fill open positions. Also, they are making up useless positions like the respiratory "specialty" position. They did this right after Symbicort came out, and later dissolved the entire team! It will be funny to watch the fools apply for that one!!

    Somebody said diabetes is safe in an earlier post. Hell, we are all safe! You can't make this stuff up with this crazy company anymore!! What's real funny is that they know we work half days, and they don't want to have to deal with it, so they close their eyes! I'm not even talking about the huge percentage of fake calls!!

    No, no layoffs here in AZ Land!

    Agree with everything you said. They didn't even completely lay off the CNS team when Seroquel went generic and still carrying the most bodies selling, yupp, Nothing. AZ management is WEAK. AZ is not risk takers. AZ management is not strategic. AZ management has "market fear" factor. They are not Industry leader and never will be unless some aggressive company like Pfizer acquires it. That's sad. So, yes I agree, they will change around the whole structure but carry the brain-dead sales teams in their entirety. Relax. Go make couple calls and call it a week!

    If they were doing that, why did they just sign a contract for DS4(Publicis) through 2016, and DS5(Publicis) through 2015?

    Re-org could be part of AZ strategy to make the Pfizer re-offer more beneficial for the shareholders.

    They have an out clause attached. That is why you go with a contract sales force instead of expanding or filling your vacancies. Pointing to a temporary contract with a temporary sales force is not exactly building confidence that the Pfizer deal won't go through. Got anything else?

    If a Re-org is in the horizon then why the hell these DSMs and CBDs seem so happy? They are talking about positive changes - are they being fed some creative BS that they are buying into, or just drinking normal AZ Kool Aid?
