Just like the threads dedicated to this train wreck of a director!

I wish he would disappear from Merck because he is making is region's morale disappear with his constant meetings and useless field visits.

He will hit 83,000 before he ever walks on stage to receive an award for being number 1 in sales. That's for sure.

He's on his micromanaging warpath because he is trying to impress his new boss. He is all over the reach and frequency reports and he is flipping out about the poor numbers on Lostavax.

No, but your welcome to have him. By all means, take him if you want to be overwhelmed with tracking reports, business plans down to the minutes and neverending meetings that still don't get you from the bottom of the nation in sales.

Yep. People who smile in your face and stab you in the back while talking out of both sides of their mouths are rewarded well in Merck leadership. On the one hand Tom is telling his reps that they need to be focused on Gardasil during back to school season but he is telling his management team to keep the field focused on Zostavax right now. Atta boy Tommy, send mixed messages so we can end up confused and at the bottom of the nation yet again oh clueless leader.

He is a leader when it comes to ineptitude. No matter how many clever phrases or thought provoking concepts he tries to babble on about, he can never motivate his reps to succeed. He has no real world selling skills, he is a textbook theorist without any credibility and his record reflects it. He is just another young empty suit that kissed his way to the top without really earning it.

This year will be no different. Tom can ride his managers who then ride their teams with the reach and frequency b.s. all he wants but plan will still not be made for Zosta 2014. Customers are still confused with reimbursement and still think it costs too much no matter how many times the same old marketing message is repeated.

We all get blamed. We can't sell they say. Even though we've pretty much exceeded in all other products over the course of their life. But it's all of our fault. Boneheaded morons.

TL will lead the blaming on this Friday's teleconference that the field is not doing enough call frequency and reach. Nagging non stockers of Zostavax relentlessly will get us to make plan he probably thinks. Really? What a joke.

After this morning's teleconference we learned our Pennsylvania Partners don't trust that we are doing our jobs, we need to have about 140 individual account plans on our customers and we better be calling on at least 5 accounts per day or your CTL is going to hound you. Gee thanks Tom for making thus pharma job even more miserable. Unreal.

That region meeting sucked! It was jammed packed with too much info and everything being urgent. What a mess.

The only way you will get change is too stop complaining only on this board and start providing constructive feedback to Jan regarding Tom, and the rest of the DCOs for that matter.

Yeah right. You are so naive. Merck vaccines is now following the pharma model. We are now being tracked with reach and frequency, we are being told exactly who to call on and it is expected that we have a plan for everything we do. Under this kind of micromanaging, you really think management is willing to change there ways? Stop taking drugs and get real.

TL continues to over complicate reps' jobs with excessive planning and business plans before even seeing any customers. There aren't enough hours in the day to do everything he expects reps to do.

He will get torn apart on this year's VOICE survey. Guaranteed!

This year we are on pace to not make plan for Zostavax, Gardasil and Pneumovax. We will get blamed for sure. Management's answer will be more metrics to measure and more micromanaging.

The only person that thinks he is bright is himself. Nobody likes this guy - people just deal with him because he is a director. He really believes people respect him. So not true. His region can't wait for him to move on or to get canned.

Let's Leadership over estimated the potential for adult vaccines in the primary care market. Until insurance coverage is simplified and improved, this vaccine will never succeed.
