Pfizer will buy out BMS' share of Eliquis by the end of 2015. It is a done deal with Lamberto.

Despite all the usual CP riff-raff comments, If you are going to join BMS then the Eliquis team is the one to join. It is a little slower launching than expected as it was the third one out of the gate but there are many territories hitting 30-40% share now and it is truly superior and life saving. It will dominate the question is how soon.

BMS has made a stand behind Eliquis and won't sell it the way they did the Diabetic drugs which were turning low profit and Abilify which was at the end of it's lifespan ( and not our drug).

Don't listen to the trolls, and naysayers as most of them just don't know any better.

So which side would you be advocating to be on when one company sells their interest in Eliquis to the other.....BMS or Pfizer?

If Lamberto needs a cash infusion to hit compensation earnings targets, he will sell his mother, Eliquis will be in play.

Don't waste your energy -It won't happen. This is bigger than Lamberto. BMS owns and developed Eliquis. Pfizer won't sell their rights to revenue. Long term It's going to be a cash cow for both companies much like the Plavix contract was for BMS and Sanofi. Except this time BMS is in the driver's seat as BMS owns the patent which wont expire until 2023. And that's if they don't get any new extensions.

BMS made a major strategic move in selling off the areas that it sees no long term future in and is heavily invested in Eliquis both from a financial and company pride standpoint as they have built a strong CV reputation.

However for you worry warts, There are scenarios where due to one company purchasing another they may be forced to sell off drug rights to comply with FTC antitrust regulations. Say Pfizer buys Boehringer Dumbelheim etc.
Now go waste your time worrying about something that's likely to happen.

Spot on. BMS has no cv pipeline for the future. The cv division will be sold this year. You've been warned.

And to think, it isn't only Pfizer who has idiots in their ranks, it's BMS as well. Wonder what it will look like when that smirk gets wiped off your face.
