What I don't understand is who is worth that much money? I can't get my head around the fact that employees get a 1% raise and yet one person gets 25 million. The numbers boogle my mind. What exactly does he do to justify that amount of cash? Is it all KF?

It isn't socialized medicine. This is the pattern of all corporations besides, a CEO who does not direct the company to maximize the return to the shareholders (at all costs~) will be replaced by one that will.

The unholy alliance with the government starts with the SCOTUS and any politician that declares a company is equal to a person.

After that happens, you (as a person) are just a piece of equipment to be used, abused and discarded by hiring a new person at a lower salary.

    Dear Anonymous:

A score is equal to twenty. Two scores is equal to forty. We've shed over 40,000 employees over the last decade. That is indeed "scores of thousands", although that is not to what I was referring. I was referring to the 40,000 former employees PLUS all of the members of their families, as they were also sh!t upon by this sh!thole company.

So, who's the dumb ass? Probably the dumb ass that defends this sh!thole company. (That would be you, in case you can't figure it out.)

    FU and FU Merck.

When KF was in law school he heard "litigate" and thought they meant "liquidate". His downsizing model for Merck continues. It appears that his focus was on real estate law as more and more Merck properties are on the market. Only concern is that Merck was once obese and soon will be anorexic. His model is successful for the short-term as the cutting will yield profits but there will be a point where it is not sustainable. He is earning his compensation the same way an auctioneer earns their compensation at an estate sale. It is all about closure, not growth. Just wait and see.

For someone ranting about getting a job----Is this how you spend work hours on Merck's dime? Don't you at least have to serve lunch to some MD office today?

Merck & Co., Inc. (NYSE: MRK) is scheduled to report its first quarter financial results before the market opens on Tuesday.

According to Estimize, Wall Street analysts project consensus EPS of $0.75 on revenue of $8.98 billion. This implies a decline of more than 14 percent from the earnings of $0.88 per share reported in the same quarter last year, and a 13.7 percent decay from last quarter’s $0.87.

The crowd is a little bit less bearish, and expects EPS of $0.78 on revenue of $9.105 billion.

The company did not provide guidance for the quarter.

If Frazier beats $0.75 EPS by a penny or more then he has earned his compensation. Who would disagree, certainly not the BoD.
