Does anyone know what our scientists are doing to help combat ebola? With no cure, I guess we're left with prayer for Dr. Brantly and his family and all the others who are impacted by this horrible epidemic.
Alcon's Department Of Virology Franchise scientists have this on their "To Do" list for this coming Friday. Hang in there.
Prayer failed miserably in clinical trials. Outside of deplorably unsanitary conditions, the transmission is very poor
It was killed in PRM because it was not an unmet medical need and did not align with the portfolio. AKA - management couldn't figure out a way to enrich themselves.
Good opportunity for an easy jab at management, but why invest tens of millions into the cure for a disease that is pretty easily prevented through good sanitation, effective quarantine, and not eating dead fruit bats you find in the jungle?
that strategy didn't work since the outbreak broke out in December 2013 in Guinea. now it's in Dallas, TX less than a year later. does it stop here now? or where else will it be a year from now? healthcare companies need to f--kin change course right now and stop doing everything for the motive of profit. some things must be done "at whatever the cost" if we want to preserve humanity's continued evolution. else we can just wait for the current system to crash completely.
