Be prepared Consumer Care folks.....Bayer will only be paying for Oct. 1 - Oct. 12 on your first Bayer check on Oct.17.
If you get your last Merck paycheck Oct 1 which is for a full monthly pay, then getting a two week paycheck two weeks later is actually getting your money faster not slower. At the end of the month you will have collected your full pay, but unlike monthly employees you will have received half of it mid month instead of waiting to the end of the month for a full months pay Paycheck changes the other directions are the more painful ones. If you go from every other week to monthly then you have to wait an extra two weeks to receive your first check
But every month you'll receive more money. You won't have to wait for the extra check two months out of the year to bring you to the level of pay you should be at. Leaving at this point means Merck got the best of you because we have our extra check coming in Nov. which means you were short pay vs if we were still paid once a month
Dude you don't understand math. Doesn't matter if you get paid daily, weekly, biweekly, or monthly - you end up getting paid for the days you worked. Only difference is whether you get it in more frequent smaller checks, or one larger check. Same amount of money at the end of the year
10 months less money than before the change 2 months more money than before the change Did your bills go down 10 months out of the year? I know my mortgage does not drop ten months then jump up 2 months This pay change is a Huge windfall for the company. It was a must have at contract negotiations with the union. Fortunately for them, they did not go along with the foolishness.
Finally someone who understands. People apparently were suckered in by the company message twice a year "you get an extra check this month" as though it is some kind of bonus. It's all the same pay rate, people, the frequency of checks became different.
