Sounds like effient part 2. This is not a primary care drug and does not bode well for the pc sales force.

 

Primary care will be half the size by next year. No need for all of us with Benicar going generic 2016. I haven't found one of my primary care's who initiates any drugs for AF. I asked over 80 this week! Anybody who thinks otherwise is just being ignorant. Good luck to all my primary care friends and keep your eye out for other opportunities.

Savaysa will be fine. Won't be a blockbuster but will bring home half a billion dollars in year three. Unfortunately that is not enough. Mr Keller needs to bring more to the bag to keep us all selling.

 

half billion in 3 years? I do not think so. Maybe 200 million by 2023. Their predictions for this year are 20 million at max.

Agree completely. DSI is headed in a more specialized direction and there is no way that corporate can continue to support all these unnecessary reps in every territory. It's downsizing out of necessity.

 

Yes, it is true we will be downsized soon.(Home Office) For those of you new to this career get out while you can. This industry is getting smaller and smaller everyday. Formularies drive market share not representatives. The industry will be quite different in the next five years.

 

Thanks captain obvious, but you're about 5 years late on that statement - typical "home office" comment.
Formularies will always have multiple options of drugs in the same class on available, companies with the best marketing and sales forces will maximize sales, so sorry to bust your bubble, but sales reps are here to stay.
The company who choses to eliminate it's sales force, will lose every time.

I'm not worried. The way I look at is this:
1. Savaysa will take off, resulting in more money for me.
2. Savaysa just treads water, maybe resulting in a little more money for me.
3. Savaysa crashes and burns, resulting in layoffs, in which case...
a) I have a good chance of surviving, and if not...
b) I have some good experience and knowledge, so that I'll probably find another job quickly, and I'll say "thank you" as I walk out the door.
