Basically everyone is on a free 3 week vacation. Even if you make the cut you should get your paper on the street and aggressively look as DSI is DOA. After doing NOTHING during the growth times to purchase one of the hundreds of compounds picked up by other Pharma's.

Ken possibly having traveled to Japan several times to deal with our "Management" you realize your hands are tied tight behind your back when it comes to BD as they are too scared to provide funding for anything! The only major move they made in 15 years was to blow all their billions in cash on Ranbaxy and how did that work out? Ever hear about doing appropriate due diligence, so the fraud that hit 3 months after the deal closed wouldn't have been missed. ba bye 3 billion in cash... DOH....Three Amgen heavy weights isn't the solution.

Too bad, lots of opportunities missed, now the employees pay for the total mismanagement that most had no input to.

Well put. For many of us who have been here for a while it's really sad how this company has fallen so far off track. It's sad but true; this company is in a lot of trouble and there is no relief in sight. Sad times!

The marketing budget will save us all, he is balding 55 with size 5 shoes but he will save us the dwarf himself will save us, then he will ask every female employee for their phone number and stalk them religiously

I have to agree with this. How long has management been saying that we have a product gap after Benicar goes, but we never solved the problem.

The only thing that will save you is time. But during that time there will be pain and plenty of it. You can't fix an empty pipe line, and two major patent cliffs quickly. I guess the real question is why go through the pain if there are plenty of other successful pharma's out there.
This company owes you nothing and like wise you owe it nothing but a solid days work until you leave.

I have spent the last 7+ yrs in the HO supporting a variety of arrogant, a$$hole managers and directors. They are given cars, car insurance, gas, vehicle maintenance, and even expense car wash on top of making high 6 figure salaries. I won't even get into what they put on expense reports that their admins are actually required to submit. As an admin, my "salary" is the lowest on the food chain yet I have to make car payments, pay car insurance, buy gas, have learned how to change the oil myself, and wash the car myself. Hell I even pay for my own cell phone.

I work hard everyday, receive no trips to Hawaii, Mexico, Orlando, or Vegas. My "raise" this past year was .80/hr. With the increase in healthcare costs, I'm making less now than I was 3 years ago.

I've seen favoritism beyond belief; younger, less experience admins have been promoted over experienced and more qualified mature support staff. In several cases there were no interview conducted for these open positions.

Now there's going to be a HO layoff. I can almost pick out exactly which admins will be escorted from the building and which ones will be saved. So go ahead lighten the admin load. Canning 10 of us will save about $600K a year....just enough to pay a director and all his bennies.

DSI is not long for this world, at least not the DSI that was profitable and a fun place to work. It's become a very dark, dismal, and uncomfortable place. I will be happy to leave. Too bad I'm an American citizen....I will be needing Welfare, food stamps, and Medicaid.

The beautiful thing about being an American citizen is you can choose to work in HO if thats what you want OR become a pharma rep/manager and enjoy those benefits that you mention. Teachers dont get free gas and cars either because they chose to be a teacher. Politics in pharma are everywhere, not just DSI. If your salary is lowest on the food chain and that bugs you I'm sorry but that is up to you

To the admin, all true!!!! What did they call the last HO layoff back in 2012 MOXIE. They were going to right size the organization. Sure they got rid of some dead wood, but also some solid contributors at all levels. At the SAME TIME they promoted a bunch of non-deserving people to Director or higher positions sometimes jumping two bands. They went about filling most of the vacated positions with new "better qualified" people. Ripping JOKE, they likely paid millions in severance then added all the salaries back. Plus, they paid some consulting firm what a million bucks to develop that farce.

Come on HO folks we know you're lurking, post your thoughts its your right to free speech let management know how you feel. Won't make a difference but might make you feel better.

Any company is better than DSI right now. And the road ahead for the next 4 to 5 years is going to be rough. More layoffs, more poor products, more stress, etc.
