I would like to take a poll. Who thinks this is going to be a game changer and who thinks this is going to be a heap of crap?
it's not Hy-Q --- it's HyQvia. There is a "Q" but no U after it. Do you think this might cause some confusion? Or in European languages, do they sometimes spell things with a "Q" and no "U"?
Of course the name will cause confusion. How do you think physicians will remember how to spell this when they write for it? How will physicians or patients remember how to pronounce it?
I heard that they started to run out of names for drugs a loooonng time ago, so that could be the reason for the bad name. They have to be careful when naming drugs so that there is no confusion with existing drug names. If you go back in time to Vioxx, that was another bad name.
