Being a vaccine was awesome until the tablet division invasion occurred around 2005. Now we are as metrics driven and micromanaged as the division you are running from.

You will need to learn how to run around pricking yourself.

Stressful and more responsibilities. The management on the vaccine side is not very good right now. Several directors do not understand the vaccine business. We are lucky in the west with a good director but are worried he may retire soon. Vaccine reps at Merck should be paid more for the job, but this will never happen. Several current reps are lined up to leave over the next year so there will be more jobs available soon. It is still a better job than tablet pharma.

Should be paid more? That can't be a serious comment. Has anyone looked outside of the industry for sales positions? Or even within? These jobs may suck to some but you'll never find better pay.

You are a mindless fool if you believe any part of this nonsense.

Merck reps are a joke. All of them. Accept it.
