They are doing it as Six Sigma Brownose Belt project. Merck is asking Microsoft to come up with a new version of MS Project that will handle 7,458 simultaneous critical path calculations. Currently in the always important meeting planning stage, Ken and the team are having meetings to decide who the meeting organizing vendor will be used. Thinking is, as soon as Halliburton is done in Afghanistan, they will be selected to pick a 3rd party, who will plan the meetings for Merck. Biggest problem so far is finding anyone who gives a shit.

Microsoft does not do that. They are not in that business. A third party consulting firm will customize Project for a insane amount of money. It will be force fitted and will work like crap. Project is not great to begin with. Then when things go wrong Microsoft will say the design is not upto standards and best practices. Then down the line Microsoft will not support the version and its to customized to be upgraded. A good amount of cash down the drain.

    It's what we do here.

The next big meeting is Tuesday morning - Ken Frazier's update to Merck.....seems logical that announcements would be made then about MCC and Animal Health.

In a surprise move, the Merck BOD decided to sell-off its RX division to grow its
animal and OTC divisions. Wall Street is shocked, but applauds merck for making
    such a bold strategic move.

Unlikely he says anything about either apart from their 1Q revenues and expenses. Those cats are deep in the bag and no deals for them are panning out.

And then the anxiety heightens even more. What will happen to xxxx site? What will happen to xxxx department???? xxxxxx positions??????????? Severances honored ????????????

Please do research on workplace violence and how to keep yourself safe at work. You never know how people will handle stressful times like these. Don't be a statistic! Don't believe it can't happen. Don't believe you know your coworkers. Cause you never know.
