    How can a manager help if they have no clue themselves.

    What a mess this has all become.

    The day upper management realizes we are selling a product, not science and adjusts goals and training to meet the reps' needs is the day Abbott Nutrition can return to the respected position we once held.
    Science supports the product not the other way around and we now call on the business people, not the clinicians. Very different animal.

    It has to be about science. Otherwise, the newbies in sales training would have no idea how to train people. You think they have been in the field long enough to build relationships and leverage them? So in their first two years they win some contrived awards to pad their resumes so they can pack up and go to Columbus, drink the Kool Aid and try and brainwash the new hires into believing science via the ipads is the only way to be successful. So ridiculous!!

    Agree, it takes a special type of salesperson to sell this crap. If you only sell science you will never make it. Let's go back to the hot model type rep. Meeting were much more fun

    Just came from my May meeting. Can't believe the changes that are happening. There are a lot of unhappy campers. More to come.

    5 district managers have just left the company to pursue other opportunities. What does that tell you?

    This "chase every bottle" mentality is going to have us win the battle and lose the war. Short term thinking is going to devastate this division. When the dust settles and the survivors survey the landscape, our 'leaders" will be long gone, collecting on their pension, denying they had anything to do with our demise.

    These tyrants don't care about the business. They're only worried and care about their next promotion and career opportunities. If they cared, they would create an atmosphere that would be welcoming of input in order to win. If you're going to have a successful business you have to have people on the team who actually love and care about the business as much as you do. These managers are all about their own short term career goals. The people to blame for this are the EVP and CEO but then again, they're just like that themselves. Buckle up, it's going to be a bumpy ride.

    Ridiculous amount of pressure that everyone is getting fed up with. Is it any wonder that managers and reps are leaving in droves.

    You are paid to SELL!! If you don't meet your sales goals, you will have pressure. Make your numbers or you need to go. Sorry for being so blunt but that is Sales. You can't hide poor performance in Sales. Good luck and we were way overdo to clean house.

    100% correct. If you just stick to the science like they tell you, you'll be gone in no time.
