Interestingly enough I just saw the Trauma ASR position is open in Rockford a year after this post. Anyone with any real insight to this other than Rockford is not exactly a hot destination to live?
The problem is that Rockford was cleaned out years ago by the original Stryker rep in the late 70s, early 80s. Jimmy Garner was notorious for cutting side deals with surgeons and hospital admin. He was a real maverick and no one since has been able to fill his shoes. This area requires a real cowboy, think Lonesome Dove style, to get the business moving again.
