So I guess with talk of the established product division being sold off in a few years, Pfizer will be poor and unable to survive on branded sales according to this. I doubt it.

 

No...what this means is Pfizer needs to develop distinctively different medications where there is a genuine unmet need. When this happens, if Pfizer truly be becomes the most innovative BIOpharma, the <5%stat will change. After becoming innovative, the cost needs of branded medication need equal reform.

 

People, Pfizer does not make drugs, they buy them from other companies, dissect their employees, integrate bobble heads from different cultures that has created the Pfgodzilla that you know today. Its never going to be any other way unless the whole head gets removed and replaced with exec's who have some proven ability to understand the industry. Old pharma is either long retired or dead and will never come back. OWN THAT!
