Any updates on the timing of the fist generic Nasonex. Patent expires 7/2014.

    Ask Reckitt Benkeiser.

I seem to recall that the expuration of Nasonex is a long way off - something like 2018. Maybe the first patent goes off in 2014?

The patent is for a couple more years. However, the company is trying to go OTC
    Prior to that time.

The Nasonex bee will be retired and dead before that OTC happens.

My doctor prescribed Nasonex in the fall of 2013 and it cost $150 as insurance said fuggetaboutit. I used it but decided to not get it anymore due to the absurd cost. Then I discovered Nasacort at Walmart in the sprint of 2014 which works fine and cost $30 for two 120 spray count bottles. Now Flonase is OTC, though it currently costs more than Nasacort coming in around $22 per 120 spray count bottle. I suspect if Nasonex goes OTC it will cost more than Flonase!
