Is this medreps.com worth the $30 for a year membership or is it a joke like most of these types of services?

50% aren't even legit jobs, 50% of the recruiters don't understand the position enough to identify qualified candidates, 50% aren't even associated with the hiring company and hope to luck up on someone and put them in regardless, 50% exaggerate the qualifications for the job so that they get the cream of the crop (i.e. it doesn't match what the companies website job description), 90% don't respond to your application, 30% send back "canned" emails stating the company hired from within ( I called him on it and he said I didn't meet the requirements and didn't want to hurt my feelings!!!)

So what are the adv? You see a posting for a position with the company name, you contact a friend in the company and you put your resume in thru them.

    Any more questions?

They have a lot of postings, but I have never got a single response from one posting. I have 15+ years in the industry, top 5% company and leader among my peers with many awards, My previous manager tried too, never had any luck. So I am not sure if worth the money?

The more publicly accessible any job postings are, you can bet that there will be more of your competition looking at the same openings. This is why the response rate could be lower than expected.

Does anyone actually have a phone number for medreps? I have been trying to get someone there to reach out to me to let me know for sure if they have posted my new resume. How are you supposed to do that?

I have to disagree - yes most do not get back to you - but I have had a number of interviews from postings and landed a job off of there. For the price there is a decent return since they do have many quality listings you cannot find and the more the better. None of them are great, butI cannot think of a better one.

There are a lot of postings, but not sure if they are real. I have applied for A LOT of jobs on their web site and have not had one single response! I have 18 years in the industry, am in the top 10%, won all the awards and taken on many leadership roles. I feel I am VERY qualified for the majority of the positions I have applied for. I have been applying for almost a year!

I also know of anther person who was a Manager and has may years of experience and has had the same experience. We have wondered do these jobs really exist. There goal may be just to collect fees to join.

It is hard to figure out all the repeat jobs posted on Medreps.com but it does work. I received some call backs from it.

I just found a new board that is free for candidates that just started up, not a ton of jobs on it yet...but a few really good ones and it appears they have signed up some of the better recruiters...or ones that have been around for a while. If you want free, try www.medrepcareers.com

Also I like Medzilla...but a lot of pharma on that one, so if you want pharma...go there. I do feel like we are all getting nickle and dimed on these boards! The $30 bucks here and there do add up.

    Hope that helps.

Yes, same good experience. If you fit the Job Requirement criteria and you have a solid work history with sales performance you will get called. Really like that free site that was mentioned medrepcareers.com but I am with you, what's a few bucks to join the others too if you are looking to get a better job and make more money...it pays for itself many times over!!!!!

    Signed,
    Been on all of them

didn't have that many callbacks but pharma reps are looekd down upon on there because they are mostly medical device jobs... i got 3 calls out of about 20 inquiries... have an interview setup for a major spine company, but i only have 2 years in pharma and 6 at enterprise... the postings are real and the 30$ is worth it.

I hardly see the link between a thumbnail porn gallery and a job board.
    Worthless posting.

    Something more valuable;
You can pay $30 to MedReps to apply to their jobs that (some) aren't even real, or you can post on other sites like MedZilla.com who don't charge anything. After talking with them (yes, on the phone), I found out they review every job before it can be applied to. Even though I didn't accept the offer (relocate? not at my age...), I did get a response to just about every application.

    That's my 2c.
    Good luck guys.

I don't think medreps is worth the money. Any service that charges the job seeker sucks. They are getting money from both ends. That would be like a recruiter charging the client 20% then saying to the candidate ok now pay me too.. f that..
I have found some really good sales jobs on http://www.b2breps.net They have a ton of sales jobs in b2b sales, pharma and medical. They also have company forums for all the major b2b companies like ADP, Enterprise, Ikon, Ricoh, Cintas, Paychex, Pitney Bowes, Yellow Book etc...
