AZ is a star in Mommy Magazine. They can't come up with any new compounds and they don't have a fucking clue how to market or sell anything, but they do maternity care with the best of them. Your teammates are going to love you.

I think its 3 months paid, 3 more additional unpaid if needed and a week off for new fathers.

HR will bend over backwards to help keep you on paid leave. They love to preach about how great our mommy benefits are. Hell, get your Doctor recommend bed rest because of high risk pregnancy, make sure you have a C section, and then have the Doctor recommend limited activity an no travel when you return. That will get you out of meetings and allow you to work an already part time gig even less. If you plan it right you can have an entire family of kids all at the company expense and only work a few months each year. Isn't AZ a great place to work?

We had one in our District who did exactly as one of the above poster mentioned. She had three kids in a period of 7 years and missed all but two meetings and at least a total of 5 months and one time 6 months for each one. That is almost 1.5 years of paid leave and then she went on disability after the 3rd one and eventually resigned after being pressured to come back to work.

Short term, very little overall benefits or severance. Salary likely hasn't gone very high up the pay band. Sounds exactly like the kind of employee HR wants. Even in training reps have been told that if they give 5 years or so of good service and move on it's of benefit for both employee and company.

This is partially responsibile for the total demise of the PSS job. When companies started hiring to satisfy an HR driven diversity initiative and we filled the ranks with part time working moms or wanna be moms looking to have and raise children on the company payroll. Then add in the incompetent minorities that were hired and promoted to again fill some diversity quota and you end up with the mess we are in. The sales force became a chess board where sales success had nothing to do with hiring, firing and promoting.

Actually the posts about decent maternity leave are pretty much true. For all the brow beating, shit kicking, and ass canning that goes on around here, maternity leave is something AZ hangs its hat on.

It is 7 weeks paid with vagibal
9 weeks paid with c section. You can take up to 26 weeks total. It's a great policy.

Hell yes. We have a female PSS in our Region that has had four kids in 7 years and hasn't worked a full year since coming here. And then when she comes back she works half days approved until her time runs out then she works half days anyway. AZ is paying her to have and raise a family. Holy shit Batman!!

Because THAT comment above would be spun as being a war on women. Activists push this stuff by blackmailing employers, because that's where the $$ is. Employers have the $, so that's what attracts and motivates the activist groups. They identify a group that can be framed as being unfairly treated, then start a PR campaign (extortion) to create special treatment for that group. The merit of work product, or skills , us irrelevant. A private sector employer will do almost anything to keep their good name as a good name. If the employers don't give in, the activists start pushing govt to create regulations - and negative publicity- to force the issue. Certainly, you wouldn't want to be known in public as a shareholder that supports a war on women now do you? It's a cost of doing business now. Same with the LBGT activists. Same m.o.

True. At AZ if you want to become bullet proof then come out of the closet. They will put you on stage and throw rose at your feet.

And why? Because the activists will tarnish the company name if employers don't comply. It's a funny to watch someone host a diversity forum with a "speaker" because yiu know they have zero qualifications to do anything productive, but are raking in a major payday by "educating" on diversity in workplace. I've watched perfectly normal adults suddenly become pandering slobs. Not wanting to offend, they fawn over anyone with a hint of diversity. So, where does this usually happen? Think about it: non-union employers. The external activists forge special interest minority groups that employers start treating extra special, as if there was an actual labor union. At ANY moment, the diversity employee can scream "discrimination!", and hell breaks loose. How prevent that? Extortion: provide the diversity peeps w special treatment, and we won't disrupt your biz. Yea, just like the mafia. Go where the $ is.

Most working women know that maternity leave is a right guaranteed by law. But how do you know how to plan for it or how much time to take off? This article will point you in the right direction.

Just stay home and raise your kids! Quit trying to scam the company out of their money! But noooo, you want the country club membership, the BMW, private school, etc. Selfish as hell!
