"Bottom line is specialists want to feel...special. When the customers complained that AZ lacked a specialty sales force, it benefited the company to listen."

Seriously??!! You actually just said that? You think the customers are the ones who asked for AZ to develop a specialty team??!! Lol. You guys are the most arrogant fucks out there.

That's the point. These HUGE territories lead to ESS not calling on the customers with the proper frequency. And it's hurting sales. Check the numbers.

I don't know where you work but DSS can't continue to call on anyone here...we are BLOCKED from calling on our largest customers. IC is swirling the drain.

    19k.
ESS is like the Titanic and we are all aboard. Been sinking for months. Slow death.

My ESS are clueless to this day. It's been how long and they are still at the starting line?

Take Endos out of DSS IC if we have to watch these schleps run our business into the ground.

I'll be sure to worry about all you DSS slackers while I'm partying in Vegas. Losers go to DC. Pretty plain and simple. Losers can't sell.

    Vegas baby. Vegas.

Our ESS's are spread a little thin when vacation/sick/personal are factored in. If one has a computer issue with sampling etc it sure speaks volumes to keeping another DSS in the account. lunches/Breakfast every 2 weeks vs 4. What happens if one of them leaves??? That's why 3 at a minimum make sense and mix some diversity in i.e. 2 females , throw a male in. Everyone is preaching entrepreneurship, unfortunately it stops with most managers if it roughs the grain a bit as most in this position realize they are minions to their manager. My ESS partner called as She was low on samples and was in need. I went in stat and everyone was glad to see Me. It's my business to some degree and was glad to positively impact my territory, I will see the benefit of that. Had to be a entrepreneur on this and leave the worrisome decision making our managers like to do on these non relevant items in the overall picture ... out of the picture.

Yes, I said that. The endos I call on were happy to see me - they knew me from a previous life.

While some of the DSS reps that called on the endos were quite good, others were grossly unprofessional and really pissed off the docs.

Bottom line is AZ did not look serious in diabetes without a specialty sales group. If you want to be a leader in a disease state, you need to have that capacity, even if for nothing other than PR reasons. Just the way it is.

Then your managers didn't get the memo. In our area, DSS can still call on endos if there is a legitimate business need, like geographical distance, preexisting strong relationship, etc.

We work very closely with our DSS overlays in our area. We help each other out, as we each bring something to the table. At the end of the day we are all a part of the team.

Too bad some of you don't get it. The fact that you don't is one of the reasons why the ESS group was created. Too many DSS reps calling on the endos, not talking to each other, not coordinating their efforts, resulting in pissed off high science thought leaders. I've heard it directly from the customers.

So again - quit your bitching. Work as a team, do right for the customers, and the business will come.

So a "specialty sales force" make you a serious player in diabetes? if that is even remotely true than ESS should be gaining sone significant share with endos for both Ong and Byd. That is NOT happening.

One the best were interviewed for ESS. One the best were hired for ESS.

I should know, I was one of the few.

Don't be jelly. DSS is, and always will be, SECOND rate to us.

I am assuming you were trying to type "only the best" both times instead of "one." Two sentence long post and you still fucked it up depending on auto-correct. You are a perfect fit for ESS. r*****.

Are you that narrow minded that you don't realize most of the country has been booted from Endos? We have been pulled. THAT is where this anger comes from. So many DSS reps pulled in favor of the ESS reps in high value targets. Not because of falling numbers, but because that is what ESS was designed to do, take over. Now, with bonuses plummeting we are part of your teams spiral. Sad.

ESS by us are a couple of turds. They make calls together. Do lunches together. Time and efforts duplicated, with us blocked out, leading to a major share decline. They don't even go to some of the offices, THAT THEY BLOCKED US OUT OF.

How long until management realizes that THIS ISNT WORKING?!?

The reps are fed up. Morale is lower than I've ever seen it as AZ.

ESS morale is sky high. They gave us raises to do what you couldn't. I'm making more than ever, and doing less work. I can hide behind DSS, and my manager is none the wiser. Time to go spend my record high paycheck. Keep selling partners.
