Crank up the Activity Trackers, meetings, etc

    Since we can no longer buy better companies and suck the life out of them, changes are coming. Just left HQ and they are getting ready to crank up the activity trackers:

    calls
    calls on A/B targets
    calls per day
    calls before 9am
    calls after 4pm
    EZ Speak events conducted
    resources utilized
    progress toward IDP
    measurables progressing on GPM
    web series utilized
    rep generated letters delivers

    I am warning you. Forget sales. Crank up your activity or you will be on IFW by the end of July!

    This is not the kind of thing that would be announced by the ELT. When have you ever heard them announce anything to do with the day to day activities of the reps. This direction will come from SD/RM/DM in that order. Reps will hear about it at some point. This should come as no surprise from anyone who has been here for a while. It's called justifying your job. I'm not saying it's right.... but unfortunately it is what it is. Just heard Celebrex generic versions ok'd by FDA Friday-coincidence????????

    This business is doing more and more worthless shit and demoralizing college educated adults by deploying them as trained chimps. How many men really want to tell their kids to grow up and be like them in this job? Please.

    It really just boils down to this. every person in HQ is trying their hardest to justify their own existence. These expectations take people tracking them, which takes expensive computers & systems, which takes multiple people put reports together, which takes multiple people to understand what the data means, which takes multiple meetings where nothing is decided on, which takes multiple emails from our managers asking for feedback, which then takes multiple people to understand what we are saying, which then takes no one to do nothing about it and discount what customers are actually saying.
    If we didn't do common activities like drones, what would we actually do?

    Do an experiment.

    Send resume out to companies NON pharma.

    How many call backs did you receive?

    Not worried now?

    You should be. Why anchor yourselves with shit.

    Take a step down for 1-2 years and then grow.

    No ones fault you have over spent, over budgeted, etc your salaries, bonuses etc.

    Oh let me guess.. Everyone responding to this followed Jim Kramer's advice and is a multi million?

    Plan B is simple but hard to do.

    1. Get out of all debt including mortgage and auto.
    2. Educate yourself in a skill - nursing, accounting, computer science, etc. or do number 3.
    3. Start a business - but it has to be successful.
    4. Be ready to start over somewhere else at half the pay.
    5. Kiss ass, hit your numbers and hope it works until your exit strategy is well in place.

    That's all folks!!

    I've been working on number 1 for a few years.

    #4? Not necessarily the case.

    Holding on for the pay is a disaster waiting to happen!

    There IS more to life than the salary.

    Be creative and find what is best for you.
