What's the game plan with Comfortis going generic in a little over a year? And with Merial and Merck coming out with flea AND tick pills, how are you going to compete? I imagine the patent on Trifexis will be up relatively soon too? No flame, just lookin for real talk.

Well, first of all you need a lesson on the facts. Comfortis is not going generic. There will probably be a liquid Spinosad but big deal. We have the pill for many years. Secondly, Merck's pill is a year away and Merial doesn't have one in the pipeline. Trifexis is the combo of choice now and for the many years to come!

Well it must be a ways off. Merck's will be first and steal some share, but Trifexis is the new FL/HG. We will ride this for the next 7-10 years. Anything Merial comes out with will be too late. Not hating, just being honest.

For sure, I have good reason to believe and a higher undrstanding from powers too great to verify in here, that Comfortis liquid will be flavored with pixie dust and cat dung. Once it hits the rails the train will rollover everything we have seen. Seriously. These are the facts as known by bloggers. Bloggers know everything that is factual.

    You act like it matters?
Elanco just inked a distributor deal with PetIQ to sell all of these products direct to Costoco, Walmart, and other OTC channels. Elanco has endorsed Perrigo for the last few years to sell a generic Capstar to Walmart at half the price they charge us vets selling us out again, and now that contract goes to who? Their exclusive distributor PetIQ

You wont be selling much when PetIQ/VIP Pet Care can buy it for 20% cheaper than you and sells it to Walmart

PetIQ is still claiming that they have "multi-year" and exclusive contracts with Elanco and they other manufacturers to sell online and into retail. Can anyone confirm or deny this? If so, why would the manufacturers give them such a sweetheart deal?
