    You don't get it and you are making it personal due to your ignorance for basic science here . Scroll up (which requires "advancing your reading") and see how a few other posts explain the physiological & biological issues with this type of approach for glucose monitoring.

    and by the way, this post is from someone with a doctorate degree in biomedical engineering.

    Everyone not living under a rock knows measuring blood glucose is indeed big $. UNFORTUNATELY for NVS, they are more than late to the party. There are much better players in the diagnostics business and the are developing simpler devices that allow for pain free tracking of blood glucose levels.

    Coopervision and EPGLmedical will bring it to market. Google does not have the right people.

    How is this Google contact lens breakthrough does not infringe on US 6,120,460 of Sep. 19, 2000?

    Lets see the logic
    Alcon paid 100s of millions to get into laser vision correction (twice once with summit again with wavelight) The fact being a significant market of contact lens and spectacle wearers want to be free from wearing lenses altogether - and will pay big $

    Now we assume diabetic paitients who don't otherwise need to wear CLs,will happily start to wear CLs to monitor their condition
