So you are interviewing for a job here at American Regent. The following guide will tell you some of the things you should know about this company before you decide to join the team. Current AR employees are free to add anything that we miss.
    1. Three months without insurance
    2. Salary at the most is 75K and HR will tell you they don't negotiate
    3. They do not give raises here so you better like your salary
    4. 3 weeks vacation - and no it does not matter how much experience you have or even how long you are here
    5. Car is a 4 cylinder Fusion
    6. You have to work here 5 years before you are vested in the 401k
    7. Bonus is rigged to pay about 5K a quarter - HR/mgr will lie about how much you can make
    8. Roommates at all meetings
    9. They like to fire people
    10. Some managers are good but be wary if you are on the east coast
    11. You are on probation for 6 - 9 months and they can fire you at any time
    12. They will most likely lie about how big the territory is
    13. You have a quota but it has nothing to do with the bonus
    14. You have to sign a non-compete form - yes you read that right
    15. You have to sign a form that you will be in the field from 8:30 to 5:00 every day - yes you read that right too
    16. The company is under a CIA
    17. There is no President Club award, there is no document that is spells out how they judge who wins anything here

Hope that helps you out if you are thinking about working here. There are some really nice managers that you can work for here but some are not. If you are in the West Region you are probably ok.
Anyone feel free to add anything that I missed.

You missed having a three week routing that for some territories is completely unreasonable but some managers will expect you to stick to it no matter how much you have to travel. Small geography is easy but large is not - and no they don't pay you more for all the travel and overnights you have to do when other reps don't have any and can go home to their families every night.
Also you will most likely get a car that is beat to s**t after two different reps drove it before you. Enterprise does not clean it up at all before they ship it to you and no you cannot expense having it cleaned. Good luck having home office getting you insurance on it in a timely manner.

Need to add that the computers break down constantly, the CRM system is antiquated and slow, the databases are always wrong or at least incomplete, you have to pay for your own paper and ink-no printers, SE area director will start off "wanting to get to know you" then will pull out her 2 page PowerPoint threatening you if you lies her trust, CEO and upper mngmnt get paid on profit and live month to month on % profit-therefore there is no long range planning. No work life balance and no specified career path. No understanding of the difference between simple pharma and account management. The NE is a disaster. The incentive plan is based on what the territory assigned to you previously generated. When you are layed off and interview at this company, get all the specifics re how the plan was generated and where your territory falls.

Turnover was over 60% in last 9 months. The group just hired in March starting to leave also. You will work 12-14 hour days on average if u r out in the field from 8:30-5.
