$40.62 per month. Just ONE of my Rxs is over $300 per month and 3 of my Rxs are PFE drugs - therefore free. If not for this plan I would be paying through the nose for Rx coverage alone. It is definitely worth its weight in gold.

What are you smoking? I checked out the United Medicare Advantage program with each of my doctors. 3 said the will not accept it for Medicare. They will SEE me yes - but - it would be MY responsibility to pay up front THEN submit a claim to United and then wait (and hope) for United to pay me. I'm sticking with Medicare, the PFE Rx program and will buy a supplemental program for the 20% not covered by Medicare. You need to make sure you don't buy a secondary plan w/ Rx coverage or PFE will cancel your Rx benefits,.

As long as you have not let your insurance lapse for 61 days, any commercial insurance plan has to accept you with whatever condition you may have and your premium will not be higher based on your medical conditions. If you have let it lapse, then you might have higher cost. Since we have been on the Pfizer plan, this should be a breeze. I doubt there are very few who do not have high blood pressure, and arthritis. However, if you have cancer is a different story. Most physicians do not like and some will not accept an Advantage Plan because of their poor reimbursement to the physician. Plan F is the best coverage you can buy on the open market. There is very little they do not pay for after Medicare has paid their 80%. I'll take a plan any day where you don't have to worry about high deductibles before any payments are made, no copays at the doctor's office.

For everyone who enrolls in the Pfizer Medicare Advantage Plan, you will continue to pay your monthly Medicare Premiums in addition to the premiums for the Pfizer plan. With Plan F, you don't need anyone to approve you going to the ER and also, Medicare doesn't require this either. For the above poster, please look on the open market for a Part B supplement, i.e. Plan F. You'll come out better.

You might think differently if you were being charged $157.00 per month for five generic drug that I take monthly. I could buy these a lot cheaper at Wal Mart than I could for using the Pfizer Plan. I don't understand how I could be getting ripped off. This is a pharmaceutical company that was once dedicated to promoting the health of all people. I feel as though Pfizer is giving me the shaft. I'm going to pay the premiums for 2015, but I'm seriously looking in 2016 to other plans. My respect and loyalty to this company ended long before now, this just makes it easier to make that statement.

What is Plan F? Who sells it?

I'm sure I would. For me, Viagra, Eliquis & Protonix are free as they are to all PFE retirees. Those 3 alone would dwarf my Rx plan cost. Then come 3 others. Do what ya gotta do....

Pfizer is like every other American corporation. It's dedicated to making a lot of money for shareholders and executives. You're helping them meet that goal.

I thought I would never say this, but do you think a National healthcare system would be worst than this?? I'm not close to 65 yet but we all know healthcare is changing big time and it's not for the better. If we didn't make a living off it do you think most people would think differently? My PCP was just bought by a hospital system (second time it was purchased). The office is basically opened 9:30-4:30 M-F and my doc has off Thursday. Get sick on Saturday....sorry- call back Monday. My wife's doctors practice was just purchased by a different hospital system. Same deal with the office hours-not weekends-call back Monday (and getting through to them ain't easy). I find myself going to more "doc in a box offices" now and even get my flu shots at CVS most of the time. Can a National Health Programs really be that worst. Read the crap that's going on here on this thread! I HATE government run anything but this crap is getting ridiculous.

Plan F is a Medicare Supplemental plan that is sold individually (i.e. no family plan for husband and wife).

I opted to purchase this plan from AARP after examining Pfizer's offering for 2013 -2014 which just seemed to have us paying and paying. The new plan for 2014-2015 was no better.

Plan F from AARP picks up the entire 20% that Medicare does not cover. It is expensive here in New York, but it gives us peace of mind G-d forbid anything happens to either of us. My father-in-law had it and he was in and out of the hospital many times - bills were thru the roof. With Plan F, again all is taken care of.

Where ever you are in the country, check out Plan F from other insurers - might save you headaches in the long run.

Hooray. Someone else got smart and looked around. Plan F is no more than Pfizer's plan and it covers everything. No surprise bills from your office saying your secondary insurance only paid this amount. Pfizer has designed even its new plan with deductibles so high and so many copays, that its hard to find anything they actually cover. Get smart before the 31st and make your choices wisely.

A national healthcare system would be cheaper, better and smarter but this is America. We are ideologically opposed to it even though that opposition makes no sense at all. Learn to live with more and more crap because we'll fight to keep it that way. Natural selection at work!

United Health Care, AARP, Cigna, Manhattan Life Insurance, Mutual of Ohama. Plan F is among many plans these carriers have. Plan F is the best plan you can buy, its covers everything that Medicare doesn't. No copay, deductibles, etc. Check it out, its probably a better deal that Pfizer.

you might want to check coverage with Cigna and Manhattan Life Ins. For me and my wife, they were cheaper than AARP.

I was in a doctor's office an hour ago. There was a sign posted saying they do not accept the Cigna Healthspring or AARP plans, as well as a couple of the Blue Cross Blue Shield plans. Many, many doctors do not accept the AARP plans, whether Plan F or Advantage. Also, some of the lesser known name plans are not being accepted in many areas.

AARP is United Health Care. What they are probably talking about is a AARP Medicare Advantage Plan. Plan F sold by the insurance companies is the "Cadillac" of all supplement plans, and I doubt that any office will not accept this Plan. Go to your insurance agency who sells these policies and have him show you the different plans and the cost of each. I'd also clarify which plans these offices do not accept.

2 of my doctors that accept Medicare will NOT accept the United Pfizer Medicare Advantage Buy up plan because they say they are not contracted with United. My choices are 1) submit their claims myself (a major pain in the ass) or 2) find an in-network doctor who accepts it. HR has told me that this is a problem in 'some rural areas'. I didn't view myself as living in a rural area but then again, I'm not near a big city. Most of my friends who are going to this plan (like in NYC or LA or Chi) have verified coverage with their doctors. I have decided to stick with the plan. I think in the long run it will be fine but then again, I may have to change one doctor - OR change his mind.

I think you are all misinformed idiots because no matter how much you bought into the Pfizer mentality you never looked into the possibility that they are out for themselves. You should have figured this out much earlier and taken steps to avert this stupidity. But you all seem to know every one's agenda because you all have your own.

I agree with you totally. If you want to spend this amount of money each month relying of Pfizer's Plan, which many offices do not accept any "Advantage" plan because of reimbursements, high deductibles, copays, then go right ahead. Even if you drank the kool aid thinking or were afraid to make other choices, you should have at least looked at other options available to you. Any reputable insurance agency in your area would have been glad to compare the Pfizer plan thru United vs other plans on the market who are very reputable and checked the premiums vs Pfizer's coverage and then you could have made the right choice. Yes, you can keep your Rx plan thru Pfizer and made other choices other than the Pfizer Advantage Plan. As the old saying goes "fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me." It's your choice, choose wisely.
