They are never transparent about the final tally.

They have about 150+ openings internally and still counting. How odd considering they needed to cut back? Not!

They pull this purge, rehire, purge, rehire bullshit every time.

I blame it on the EEOC regs and laws creating this fiasco. They just can't get rid of people unless they purge them and rehire who they like.

 

Who in hell would want to come back to Pfizer????

Are the openings created to hire cheap replacements for those just thrown on the street?

 

Not initially. They hire from within first, but odds are most are filled by taking a demotion. So sacked managers and specialty reps take a step down and might even have to take a salary pay cut depending on the circumstances. Either way, Pfizer profits because they rehire the better reps and cut their chances of having to give them raises each year and they get lower bonuses being in lesser roles.

This is all done to play musical chairs and make Wallstreet and shareholders think they are doing something. All at the expense of the workforce.

It's the dirty games played by the execs to make themselves wealthier. I blame the BOD for not holding them accountable or worse, being complicit in these unethical abuses of capitalism.

They take a calculated risk no one sues them or the SEC or other govt. criminal authority hammers them on it. As long as they kiss Obama's ass nothing will happen to them, and when we put Repubes back in they waive all of the criminal conduct by their predecessors and wipe the slate clean.
