I upgraded my phone to an iphone a while ago when my plan with Verizon was up. I had to pay for the new phone and the Pfizer plan was renewed. I say it's my phone, I paid for it.
It's a corporate liable plan. If I leave or get a layoff they I would keep the phone but cancel the plan. Pfizer should pay for the cancellation fee, as the company required me to have the phone in the first place and decided what plan I was going to have..

All correct but do NOT ask to change to a personal plan if you want to keep the discount. When I retired, I reduced my plan and get 700 minutes (anytime) and unlimited texting for $27.99 per month. That's all I need.

Pfizer will pay the cancelation plan if it's a corporate liable plan. But if they chose to they could take the phone since there are free phones out there. You chose a phone you had to pay for.

Did u port your personal number to the Pfizer plan or were you assigned a random number? if its a random number and the phone is better than your personal phone take them both in to store, wipe out each phones memory, assign the Pfizer number to your older phone, your number to the newer phone and turn in older phone.

Not sure if they bother collecting phones anymore so this whole response may be unnecessary. Also, you can keep on the Verizon discount plan Pfizer has established for awhile. Unfortunately, verizon is verifying employment annually now so eventually your plan cost will increase

So you're saying that because there are "free phones" available but I paid for an upgraded phone, my manager could take the phone that I paid for if he/she wants to (when I leave)?

this post is why pharma reps get a bad rep. stupid questions like what happens to a cell phone shows how little you people are prepared for the real world.
Its pretty simple-if PFE paid for it they have the right to take it back. If you paid for it you can tell them to shove it if they ask for it-since...newsflash---you paid for it!

your cell phone will be sent to a special investigative branch of pfizer where it will be taken apart and all calls and text you ever made will be recorded into a data base and kept for 1000 years.

After which it will be auctioned off at and the proceeds will be split between your district team members who will then go to Starbucks and buy a chocolate chip cookie.

So you see, really good things can happen when a loser resigns and turns in a phone!

    That's just too complicated!!
After I get shit-canned, will I still need to make my office calls?
Who pays for the Thai take-out?
Who will break it to the office staff and receptionists that I'll no longer be coming in?

Hmmmmmm.....maybe they'll keep me after all.....

The disposition of cell phones is clearly the biggest challenge for our generation. How pitiful is that. What a bunch of wankers!

    Great question..
I do know you can definitely keep the Zoloft and the Zeldox.
Inside word is that they are also useful for toe nail fungus and over active bladder syndrome.

First your cell phone will go through a period of denial. She'll think you're still employed, and wait for you to press her buttons like you always did. But you won't be around, and she'll wonder why. She'll get angry and start random dialing strangers. Angry at the world, she'll lash out and berate everyone she calls. She'll wipe out your contact list and replace your voice mail greeting with, "He's a jerk! He left me!" Finally, she'll come to accept the fact that she won't be pressed to your ear anymore, and she'll give up. She'll go to a very dark place. She'll cut herself off from the world. And then her battery will die. Forever.
