I hear Sorin is there now...rumors of people quitting the industry/changing territory, possible regional manager change. Anybody know whats going on? Did somebody get caught paying doc's?

Sorin (and Bio) are the only CRM players dumb and desperate enough to pay the employees they've found to sell their products in Tucson. Think about it. Who upgrades from a Big 3 to SORIN or Bio?

Who upgrades to Sorin or Bio? Great sales reps are and will continue to do so as these companies expand the breadth of their offerings and coverage. Selling for the so-called "big three" once was exciting and attracted top sales talent. This is no longer true as the majority of their sales reps are vending machines.

Regardless of all the bs posted on CP about quality and technology, all companies in the CRM sector make good, reliable products. Selling for a smaller company requires talent. It's not easy, but you are paid very well.

You think about it. It's all upside growth in most any territory. There are decent, trained reps available with all of the cuts going on. Neither makes a bad product. In fact, they each have some interesting things, and they're catching up very quickly in areas where they're short. The Big 3 don't exactly have a stellar track record in the quality department....and you can forget technology and differentiation, they're aiming for contracts. The small guys will get the reps and provide the service where they can make a difference with docs and some hospitals. It is a changing world. And Sorin, privately owned I believe. They don't have to be Wall Street/Euro whore like the rest. They can make decisions for all the right reasons. Things a changin.

You ramble to compensate for trying to make your point. Bottom line, reps who migrate to bio or sorin are viewed and will always be viewed, as chasing the $. It's a losing consideration and doc's smell it. Bio and sorin have lost because technology matters. Period.

Hehehe. Ok, let me keep this simple for you, since you can only handle one thought at a time. All reps are out to make money, so are the docs. It's called 'business'. It's accomplished through providing service to patients. Don't go the 'holier than thou' route, because it is embarrassing to watch you try as all 3 have eaten crow. Technology is important when viewed through a 'cost' lens. Aw hell, I lost you. Under the Big 3 business model, you will be extinct in the years ahead. Lucky for you it will be painless.....you won't even see it coming.

When you say technology matters - do you mean it matters that Biotronik has the only MRI conditional product line? As in - MRI conditional ICDs, CRTDs, CRTPs, and pacemakers?

I'm just trying to clarify - is that what you mean?

Are you dumb enough to believe that Biotronik lags in technology?

What rock did you crawl out from?

Can you please provide the FDA approval for said products?

No US approval. That might be a minute.

Quite frankly, who gives a shit. Do you think customers are stupid enough not to know the product is MRI conditional everywhere in the world but the US?

That's equivalent to saying that because Medtronic is the only company with an FDA-approved indication for RAFT patients, they are the only company allowed to be implanted for that specific indication. Or, because Boston is the only company to receive FDA indication for COMPANION patients, only Boston devices can go in patients with that indication.

Pre selling? Medtronic spent millions to get Revo approved through the process. You guys planning on using less money and just give it to your doctors.

The revo is a hunk of amphibious shit. Lets be honest it's V1 though, it will get better. Anybody got a handle now on the Tucson thing? I am hearing the anatomy of the territory has changed dramatically.

"Bio and sorin have lost because technology matters."

The Bigs aren't laying folks left and right because they want to invest in R&D...they are acknowledging that the hey-day of CRM is over, and that PRICE matters. Carelink Express and increasingly automated device and contracts for devices without clinical support are all pre-cursors to a "field rep-less" CRM industry in 10 years. National account managers will be running the show.

In the transition to that end, BIO will continue to grow as it wins on price. This will come to an end once the Big 3 have fired enough labor to get their costs in line with what the Obamacare Market will bear.
