About 20 people displaced. But everyone that is still here got screwed big time with their territories. No one is happy - terrible culture. Upper Management will be the next re-org!

Does anyone know if other divisions will also begin layoffs? We know something's in the works. Maybe Oncology was first in line. Sorry to those affected.

Thanks for the info Taiho. Will be looking into this. Bayer Oncology does not have a bright future.

Bayer has several products coming and many compounds in development.

This is total BS. The only way Bayer brings products to market is by overpaying for smaller companies that develop them. Then they set high sales goals that can not be achieved and lay people off. That's the German way.

Let's look at the history of Bayer Oncology:

Campath: FAIL - sold product and laid off entire sales force.
    Leukine: FAIL - see above
Nexavar - moderate success mostly because Bayer co-promoted with a company that knows what they are doing.
Stivarga - FAIL - great launch, set sales goals too high and had to layoff 15% of sales force
Xofigo - FAIL - great launch, set sales goals too high and reorganized the entire sales force 16 months after launch.

Who's running the show here....and why do they still have a job???

PB is responsible for EVERYTHING which just occurred... He would not listen to push back from Marketing or Sales Leadership. Really sucks.

Expect more layoffs, round 2 of layoffs to begin in Q2 2015, if data from studies on xofigo is negative. In either case 2015 looks to be a repeat of 2014, ridiculous forecasts leading to layoffs to cover PB's butt. Shannon and Rob better bend over because its gonna be another rough year. Better be looking for a job, because Bayer likes to blindside its employees. PB's the new sheriff in Oncology! PB an his STEM consultants are calling the shots.

Get your facts straight moron. Campath and Leukine were Berlex failures, Bayer got stuck with them during the merger. Onyx had little to do with Nexavars commercial success. That was mostly the good people that RR hired at Bayer. Too bad most of those folks are long gone.

Onyx outperformed Bayer ever quarter 8 years if so until the recent shuffling of the territories. If not for Onyx that drug would not have performed the way it did...just look at the bang up job Stivarga is doing post Onyx...that's the truth dummy!
