It's in the SE. Thoughts on manager? Recruiter says base range 100-125k and targeted bonus 30k with many hitting 45-75k. How realistic is this?

Read these boards. Many making $10k in bonus. You are being sold by the recruiter. Again read the comments about the MSBU

Don't come unless you work at Target.

45-75k bonus???????? Thats impossible with the forced ranking we have. 50% of the sales force is gauranteed to not get 100% of their bonus. Bottom 10% gets ZERO. Bonus is terrible here. Yes, some may make that, but its very few and chances are you wont. However, the worst part about working here is the culture. This place is toxic. I have never been so unhappy in my life. I look everyday for job posts hoping I find something else real soon.

OP I have been with MSBU for a couple of years. I will give you the pros and cons. THis is straight from the gut.

    Pros:
1.Your base will be high compared to PCP. Yes I am assuming you are coming from PCP because MSBU hates people with MS experience for some reason. So on average your base will range from 100K to 125K.

    2. This is the safest BU in Gen Meds. All the resources will be here. Your budget will seldom run out.

    Cons:
    1. BIG territory
    2. Unfair bonus structure. Bottom 10% get zero. Bottom half makes 10-29K. Only top 7% make 75K IF they qualify. Compare this to our competitors at Biogen, Sanofi, Teva Neuroscience. Very low bonus.
    3. Primary Care tactics. You will be walked out the door if your synch rate falls <3/week or your reach and frequency falls below their target.
    4. No quality time with KOLs and top Neuros. Why? Because they do not respect us. Not your fault. It's just that Novartis dips its toe in the MS water instead of jumping in like Biogen, Teva etc

So my 0.02 if you are in PCP come in for the experience and do this for 1-2 years max, then go to a real MS company. The players are Biogen, Sanofi-Genzyme, maybe Teva still and soon to be Genentech. Good luck!

I know of several PCP reps that transferred over here and are kinking 75-80 base. They were brought over as a lateral salary move. This is the new trend at NVS TRUST ME ON THIS ONE. the days of hiring the external candidate and paying them 100+ are long gone. Layoffs coming in next few months. Be very careful with this land mind call NVS.
