Gilenya Cuts in Fall 2014

Just too risky (and expensive) to allow reps to have responsibilities that put the company at risk. It is over people. PC to MS to Onc. I understand your frustration, but there are people at HQ that have known about the cuts for some time. It doesn't hurt to prepare.

 

They don't need reps to sell Pharma anymore.it has been true for 5 years and they are starting to figure it out.

Even if it were a guess, there are 12 months in a year that makes it about an 8% chance of being right. With the seasonal effects from financial reporting influencing timing which normally governs these kinds of decisions it would make this date much more likely.

HR and leadership - Since you are oblivious to the situation and attitudes of your sales force let me enlighten you.

MSBU turnover is increasing rapidly because leadership sucks

More then 70% of the reps still in MSBU would leave voluntarily if there were other jobs available.

This leaves the majority of sales not wanting to be here.

This means sales reps do the bare minimum to get by and do not see a future.

Finally, you will never get more effort from an employee who doesn't care which means Gilenya sales become stagnant.

PS - comments on cafepharma are not from 1 or 2 disgruntled employees. The comments are from the majority of the sales force.

 

Did I disagree whats the point of posting here. We know the MSBU sucks but like I said its a paycheck nothing more. They get the bare minimum out of me that's their problem. If you are that unhappy leave but there will be 300 people ready to take your job. Look at you income and benefits and the hours you work thank Novartis everyday.
