can I be hired?

I have gone through entire process. all pi, f2f, was told to expect an offer. I went in to check "status" I noticed that I had applied to Astellas in past 1.5 years. I got this interview through recruiter... who has been talking to me after every interview and wants commission I am sure. I thought if you were in Astellas "database" you could not be "recruited" on outside... I hope I am wrong. If they cannot "recruit" me... will they still offer me job without recruiter??? I was final with area director, was told I was pick and they would be checking references. I hope the fact I am in database already doesn't hurt me!!

Im sure it's a case by case basis but if youve made it through the area vp and you arent a felon, I would think youd be ok.

Well not a felon! But recruiter called me Friday night do I would not " wonder" through the weekend. I went to fill out app and discovered previous application . It's an outside recruiter and you always here that if you are in database you can't be represented by recruiter. Apparently she has represented most reps for this DM. I really don't remember applying before.. Just hope recruiter doesn't ditch me and find someone she can make money on.. She claims I cannot reach out to DM now that they are doing background check.. I will email him myself if I do not hear by tues pm....

Just curious- Have you spoken to any current Astellas employees about what it's like to work here?
I am not trying to be sarcastic, but think you should definitely asks some questions about the company...

True. You need to know things such as "Is the RSM a lunatic". Could impact your life significantly.

Why in the world would you want to work here? Run, there are other pharma companies out there who aren't so corrupt and actually value their employees.

Obviously a DM can have an impact on how happy you are in a sales role!! But more importantly how did you not realize that you at one time applied for a job here???? Don't you keep any type of mental records of who/when/where you applied for a job?? That would turn me off as a hiring manager b/c you don't have any selectivity in your job search. This place is good, better than most of the rest just a victim of the times and trends. No such thing as a good pharma co anymore!!!!

Such a ridiculous comment. You obviously have had a wonderful working experience at Astellas, and that is WONDERFUL for you. But don't discredit those of us who know differently!!

To the poster that asked " how I didn't know" I applied- have you looked for a job lately? We don't get the " privilege" of just picking out a company we like and decide to work there. You have to send out hundreds of resumes to compete with the hundreds of candidates applying for one position. Of all the times my resumes gets lost in a " black hole" I have to send out several to increase my odds of getting called. I can then decide if I like opportunity. Maybe you should send out 25 resumes with all your " experience". I have many awards- high ranks- doesn't " guarantee" me a spot. I have a few Astellas acquaintances- they like it there and it's got the same issues as others do.the grass is noir greener unless you are looking for a better manager, higher pay, etc

What's up with the Allentown oncology position? What's the DM like?

He has no qualificationsand seems over his head.
