Just lost BC/BS insurance coverage on products. Numbers will go down. Any guess who's next to drop AMS?

Worried Re: Medicare Fraud

I am considering looking at a job with Augusta but am concerned about the Medicare ban. I am trying to figure out how the company handles medicare patients. Do you just try and bill their secondary for the whole deal or sell them a unit for cash? What happened with BC/BS? Wow.

Current rep at this company. We can bill Medicare, that has not been an issue. The post is correct about BC/BS but not on all policies. That is a BC/BS decision though for all device companies not just Augusta. They will only allow in network for the state the Blue is based out of. Because AMS is based out of Georgia only Georgia blues can be billed by AMS except in rare cases. I have a distributor in my state that sells our device. I refer my blues to them. This has not adversely affected me but that may be different in other territories.

It helps if you have a dist in your area, but when you refer your pts to them, you are selling a $495 device for less than $300. It's hard to hit your super high numbers when you take that kind of a hit.
