$58 million loss on Q4, and $550 mill for the year followed by $141 mil loss the year before? And if you read in to it, it is not beacause of the purchases...those are amortized over the next 10 years. Sales expenses are up $90 million which means more staff = future layoffs. Sinking ship, no improvement in rental sales which is our backbone. Looks like another year where we walk on egg shells all year looking for pink slips.

And on top of it, they spend USD 76 million (>4%) in R&D and haven't launched a "game changing" technology in years.

Typical falling company that convinces investors to aquire more companies to fog up the numbers. It looks like sales are increasing but the aquisitions are the only thing increasing. Fuzzy math equals prolonged tenure for management.

Hey idiot, consider the economy in general and weigh the numbers against that

Hey idiot ! The downturn in the economy started long before the LBO buy
Out by the PROFESSIONAL INVESTORS bought operation
already in the midst of the big Pharma infection.
Wasn't working then, will never work here.
A deaf and blind man would have better used the
Simple clues presented directly in front of him

Hey Dummy, the economy has been doing fine for two years now. Look at any other large companies performance over the past 8 quarters and it is easy to see we are doing something wrong. PE Firms buy companies for one reason, make money and we are not doing it with little upside in the future. Good job by the senior managment to talk them in to aquiring companies to fuzzy the math for a while (Joint Synergies...what a bunch of BS) but eventually the grim reaper will show up.

You are not very smart. I am not in this for the company. I work for me. You getting fired helps me. That is good. No one cares about you.

The grim reaper will show up again sometime soon before this is all over. Once again probably around 7/11. Just at the end of 2nd Q and just before the time of the "New Launch". It will be integral part of the transition phase. There's no way they can continue to pay 1/2 a million severance packages to all these executives while not hitting budgeted revenue numbers. They continue to say that there is a plan in place every plan in today's health care industry involves layoffs. It's just a reality and accept it.

yup and get ready for some more. you cant have 4 business units/products (cellutome, systagenix, KCI, lifecell) and announce that their will be 2 divisions. Get ready for some changes. My guess.......Systagenix people next

How do the numb nuts running this place sleep at night when they wreck peoples lives with the stupid decisions they make? Like firing a whole division. What a great way to improve moral. Products don't sell by them self and KCI/Acelity reputation in one of the worst out there. Maybe instead of firing the people who pad your wallet you should look in the mirror.....
