Will we be eligible for AbbVie's pension plan? And what about our 401K? Does AbbVie currently have a 401K in addition to the pension plan? thoughts?
Currently, Abbvie has both a 401k and a pension plan. In light of the large expense of buying Shire, there is no guarantee that anyone will get one anymore.
Abbvie has a 401k, a pension plan AND profit sharing. If you have pension with Shire, it will remain what it is and NOT roll into Abbvie's pension. if you dont have a pension, i think you would start accruing Abbvie one when the deal is final, starting that day as day one. I do not remember if the pension is fully vested at two or five years.
