Moving from one pharma company to the other, it seems like there is no universal code to know where exactly you are going to be hired/placed in the hierarchy. Can anyone share their insight on how far below a Research Investigator position is, from that of a Director within any division at BMS? I suspect there is a Senior Research Investigator I and II above a Research Investigator II, and then is the next level a Principal Scientist or a Director?

    Thanks for any information.

Research investigator is entry level for a PhD- meaning out of grad school or postdoc.
it is d5 in the hierarchy and as you write there is res inv 2 as d5-2. Then sen res inv 1 and 2 are d6. Associate director is d7- princ scientist 1 and 2. Director d8.
