How long is training here? Can't seem to get an answer from DM.. What kind of cars? I appreciate free car - just wondering... I know I will get the " run as fast as you can" response but my company has already hit the iceberg - with no life rafts! Thanks for help!

Training: home study for about a month, New Jersey for a couple weeks, home study for a couple weeks, back to NJ for about a week. This was a couple years ago when we had Welchol training, but I can't imagine it's changed much. Training equates to almost 3 months.

Car: Nissan Altima, Ford Fusion, or Subaru Legacy. Most of the time though you won't get a choice. You get what they give you.

Good luck. I would try to stay away from sinking ships.

Thank you! I think most of pharma is sinking unfortunately. I think I am selling Movantik and Savaysa- for sure.. 3 months of training? Yikes! I appreciate staying home and doing home study but when do I get to actually start selling? Also please tell me there is a training bonus? DM didn't know that either! Thanks for info!

Yeah, you get a bonus. It's a joke. You won't get rich working here, so don't get too excited. And try not to be so annoying asking trivial questions. You're on the Titanic now and we're all cranky, so chill.

So if you were recently hired I guess you wouldn't be on here asking questions? There is always someone who has to be the jerk! Every pharma company is the titanic!

No, actually I wouldn't be on here asking questions. I'd ask the hiring manager. And if that individual couldn't answer basic questions, I'd see it as a huge red flag and I'd look elsewhere for employment. Not sure who's more of a dipshit, you or the person that hired you. Later ho.

Everyone on here has claimed it as a sinking ship for 5 years.

Truth is if you get a decent manager it's not a terrible place to work.

Most of the people on here crying were probably fed with a silver spoon their whole life and think they are worth more than they actually are. They think something is owed to them.

Like anything else in this world it's what you make of it. Don't let your job define you.

    Welcome to DSI.

Go pop a Xanax. The way you're wired, you won't last long. Most likely you'll break during home study. If you survive that, you'll lose your shit during training in NJ. Most likely when you're doing a role play certification with a trainer. Or maybe during Super Bowl of Role Play when you have to detail in front of your entire class of over 100 people. Hope you don't have a fear of public speaking. Good luck.

You actually asked the hiring manager what kind of car you would get? Well that's one job you most likely won't get an offer for.

Don't accept this job. You will become an alcoholic, drug attic or escort before the end of your career at DSI. Love yourself and find something more fulfilling.

ignore the trolls. They are the same people who said 200 people were getting let go and it ended up being 20. Welcome to dsi, enjoy it and make the most of it.

Your choice. Get hired and go through all the ridiculous training to be let go in October. I will say told you so.

Why October? Benicar goes generic next October

Scaling down the salesforce will start way before the actual date benicar goes generic. Pharma 101. Go back to when the pharma industry knew Obama was going to be elected in his 1st term. Massive industry wide layoffs. It's economics. Think of the Pfizer reorganizations when their blockbusters when off patent. Not a good time to join DSI

If Benicar is going generic in Oct 2016, I estimate there will be a layoff at least next April, if not sooner if Savaysa doesn't speed up. Has anyone noticed that the PC districts are mostly going Movatik and less weighting on Savaysa.....the writing is on the wall

LOL - I find all of this amusing.
To the new hire: Know that you're joining a company that has some issues. Granted, as you correctly pointed out, MOST (all?) Pharma's are having problems lately, so DSI isn't much different than anywhere else.
To the trolls: get a grip. As mentioned above- DSI isn't any better or any worse than anywhere else. They do seem to pay a LOT lower than other pharma's. BUT new hires are still going to join just to get their foot in the pharma door. They'll be here anywhere from 6 months to a few years and get a severance package when the company decides to lay them off - what's the downside? Experience, better pay than unemployment, and a severance even if they're only here a few months.
