Yeah, but my manager would threaten PIPs so much with most of the reps in their district that the threat of a PIP lost all meaning.

These managers act like the rest of the team doesn't talk to eachother. "Oh you got threatened with a PIP too? So did so and so, and me too." (Real conversation I had).

I was threatened with a PIP about 6 times in a year. Never happened. Happened to bail from this place so I never got to see if the threat of a PIP became a reality.

Joke. The first time I was sort of scared. Times 2-6 I chucked inside.

 

Fear and intimidation attracts a certain employee personality and repulses another. The latter is the one that has the knowledge to create and sustain innovation.
You don't need an MBA to grasp this.

However, capital can buy you knowledge....

It is time that the government outright financed clinical trials of small start up companies. This way, the pimps at Novartis would not be able to 'buy their way' into genuine, patient focussed, need based, blockbuster medicine.

 

it's time for the people to take over all for-profit enterprises that deliver a social value to our communities.
this should all be non-profit.
